I am sure this will be a great surprise but, after much thought, I have decided Beauty by Gillian will be closing as from March 1st this year.

There have been many contributing factors which have lead to this decision, including the recent period where Covid-19 has impacted negatively upon my business. Alan and I have decided it is the right time for me to stop working and take a sabbatical so we can enjoy more time together.

I very much appreciate the support and custom from every one of my clients over the last 28 years. Running my business has been a huge part of my life and I am very grateful to all those who have helped make this successful.

This was not an easy decision, I finish my business with a great deal of sadness but I'm looking forward to a new time in my life.

With due consideration to the updated Covid-19 situation, I have decided to keep all my present practices in place.

This means that I will continue to wear a face mask and I ask all my clients too as well. I will ask you to wash your hands on arrival and to use the track and trace if you have the app on your phone. As it is summer, I am able to have good ventilation with windows open and as this has kept my business and my clients unaffected by this virus, it makes sense for everything to remain in place for the next few months.
Hopefully, by maintaining high standards, my clients, my family and myself will all remain healthy. Many of my clients have said they are very happy with everything that I have done and I thank you for your understanding and support 😘

How are you feeling? Excited? Nervous? Scared? Ready to party? (After the eyebrow wax of course 😉) Everyone of us will be feeling differently about the easing of lockdown, I know I’m nervous about returning to work. I feel very out of practice and it feels very strange to be ‘face to face’ after social distancing once again. I’m not sure that this year has been good for me, I’ve learnt that I’m very happy to be a hermit! Anyone else feel like that? 🦀 🐚

But it’s ok - we all have to manage this in our own way and in our own time. My diary is now open and I am booking appointments but my hours are limited and I’m not offering evenings at the moment.
Hopefully after a couple of days, I’ll be back in the swing but for the moment I’m taking it very gently. Let me know how re-emerging feels for you 🤗😘

I spent yesterday afternoon and this morning cleaning, sorting and refreshing my nails polishes and price list - all ready for returning clients next week! I have a couple of new facial products, further details to follow next week; they just arrived in the post so I’ve yet to open the box 😯 It’s like having a birthday 🥳
