LEMON JUICE - TIP #4

As well as containing vitamin c, lemons also contain a high level of alpha-hydroxy acid, which can help to lighten, brighten and clean your nails. If your nails are stained after using dark or highly pigmented nail polish, this helps to remove the staining.

Mix together a couple of teaspoons, in equal parts, lemon juice and bicarbonate of soda (baking soda). Mix the solution together to form a paste (will bubble), gently scrub your nails. You could try using a soft tooth brush

Another way is to add more lemon juice than bicarb and simply soak your nails in the mixture for about 10 minutes.

Repeat either again, if necessary, but no more than twice a week.

Finish by rubbing a few drops of cuticle, olive or coconut oil into your cuticles (and hands if desired)

LEMON JUICE* - TIP #3

Lemon juice contains a high level of vitamin C, which can absorb directly into your nails, to help promote strength.

If your nails are naturally brittle, prone to peeling or weak due to the removal of enhancements or gel, soak your nails (for no less than 10 minutes twice a week) in a mixture of equal parts warm lemon juice and olive oil.

*freshly squeezed, if possible.

DRY OR DULL LOOKING HANDS? Tip #2

Try making your own, inexpensive, moisturising scrub:

1-2 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of almond oil*

Mix together then massage in a circular movement all over your hands, including down each finger.

Continue for 1-2 minutes, rinse off (no soap required), kitchen towel dry.

Repeat twice weekly.

Can be used on feet (increase the ingredients).

Not suitable for use on your face.

*optional and can be purchased for as little as £1 a bottle.

I miss all my lovely ladies, a lot of you have become friends, we share the highs and lows of our lives. We laugh, we cry, we share endless cups of tea. You make my work a
pleasure rather than a job.

One of my wonderful ladies (friend) has made me these face masks.

As I am committed to keeping us all safe so, when eventually I can return to work, you will see me wearing one.

Thank you for your amazing best wishes and support, tough times for us all.

Stay safe....till we meet again. 😘

Tip # 1 -The order in which to wear your face creams:

1. Eye
2. Serum*
3. Moisturiser*
4. Sunscreen** (minimum factor 30***) Followed by make-up 💄 * Leave for 5 minutes to soak in before applyling next cream. ** Leave for 10 minutes to soak in before appling make-up. *** It is recommended a minimum factor 30 for normal day to day activities. Factor 50 if sunbathing. It is also important for your cream to have protection against UVA and UVB rays and if pissible, waterproof.

The difference between UVA and UVB rays:

UVA and UVB both damage the skin, both rays reach us in different strengths according to the time of year and geographical location.

UVA rays pe*****te farther into skin than UVB rays, consistently destroying key substances in the skin that give it its firmness and elasticity. They are a leading cause of wrinkles and a cause of, or major contributor to, every type of skin cancer. UVA rays pe*****te glass, while UVB rays do not.

UVB rays cause sunburn, plus plays a key roll in the development of skin cancer.

Superdrug creams are affordable and cruelty free.

My Lockdown Lovelies, this is not a tip but advice that I have read in several articles and I think it quite important to know..... nail hygene and Covid-19.

When it comes to stopping the spread of the virus we are told; hand washing, sanitising and avoiding touching our face is imperative. This includes biting or chewing our nails.

It is not yet known how long the virus can live on skin and nails. It is felt that longer finger nails or nails that are not properly cleaned can harbor the virus and potentially spread it. It could also hide in cracked and chipped nail polish.

The unanimous recommendation is to KEEP YOUR NAILS SHORT.

Stay safe 💕

Hi everybody, I heard this amazing quote which I love........

"The elixir of youth, which we all look for, is not in a pot of cream; it is actually in your attitude, it's having a go and making sure your world becomes bigger and not smaller as you get older".

Above words on

Do not let age be a reason to not do something. Do not let age define you.

A bit of light hearted fun. 😂

22/03/2020

It is with a heavy heart I have decided that, given the present crises and in line with colleagues in the beauty business, with immediate effect it would be wise to temporarily close down my beauty business.

This is for the protection of you, me, and our families.

I have worked hard to build up my business and I feel that my clients are also my friends so I hope that as soon as circumstances permit and life returns to normal you will want to resume your beauty treatments.

Please stay safe and keep in touch.

Best wishes

Good morning ladies, hope everybody is safe and well.

Just a quick message to those of you who have brought gift vouchers for friends/relatives.

I want to reassure everybody that, no matter when they want to use them, the voucher will still be valid.....you will not lose your money.
