I’m so excited for officially welome Relaxbyell to the clinic 🤎
Ellie is bringing her beautiful new venture to Solymar, offering relaxing massages, facials and wellness treatments. All designed to give you a little time to slow down, switch off and take care of yourself.
I love the ethos behind Relax by Ell and feel it fits so naturally alongside the health and wellbeing focus of Solymar.
Relax by Ell is an independent business owned and operated by Ellie from within the Solymar clinic. She has her own treatments, availability and booking system, so all Relax by Ell appointments are booked directly with Ellie.
I’m so excited to have her here and can’t wait for you to discover what she has to offer.

Lower back pain at Solymar Chiropractic this week…
Lower back pain is one of the most common MSK problems worldwide. It’s recognised as the leading cause of disability globally and can have a significant impact on work, daily activities and quality of life.
This week I’ve seen a real variety of presentations from falls to the classic “I’ve pulled something gardening”. It’s an important reminder that lower back pain isn’t always the same and neither is the approach to managing it.
For most patients this week, we’ve been able to begin treatment straight away. Depending on the individual, this may involve hands on treatment such as spinal manipulation or mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, movement and functional assessments and targeted exercises.
In some cases, the symptoms and findings from the assessment have highlighted a need for further investigation or referral back to their GP before deciding on the next stage of management.
Knowing what we can help with is so important but so is recognising when further investigation, another healthcare professional or a multidisciplinary approach may be more appropriate.
Chiropractic care can play a role in helping to manage musculoskeletal pain and concerns alongside underlying conditions, as part of a wider management plan.
Often, we may be able to continue supporting you while further investigations are taking place. Other times, the priority may be to pause and ensure you’re directed to the most appropriate person or service first.
In an ideal world, we’d love to be able to treat everyone who walks through the door but this is an unrealistic goal. The main goal is to assess the individual in front of us, recognise when chiropractic care is appropriate, and when necessary, help signpost patients in the right direction.
Good care isn’t just about knowing what you can do, it’s also about recognising when someone may need something different 🩺

A huge thank you to everyone who came to our Coffee Morning yesterday to raise money for Weldmar Hospicecare and celebrate our 6-Month Birthday.
We had a really lovely morning and it was great to see some new and familiar faces and I truly appreciate all of the support and donations going towards such an amazing charity.
I will be contacting all the raffle winners tomorrow (apologies I am catching up on admin having been somewhat preoccupied with baking and preparations!)
Another big thank you to Grace who was our fabulous barista for the morning…perhaps we should make her a permanent feature in reception 👀 As well as BODEGA The Sock Drop Co. and Ellie for kindly donating raffle prizes.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the clinic this Saturday for our coffee morning. Pop by for coffee and some cake! There will also be limited goody bags and some vouchers.
