This morning I went live in The Education Lounge with my students and taught shampooing, conditioning and a straight blow-dry, demonstrating each stage while talking them through what I was doing, why I was doing it and the little things that can make such a difference to their finished result.
This is one of the things I love most about live education. My students aren't just given something to read and expected to figure it out. They can actually watch me do it, listen to me explain it, ask questions as we go and see the techniques being used in real time.
And if they don't understand something the first time?
That's okay.
Every live is recorded and added to The Education Lounge, so they can go back, pause it, rewatch a section and practise alongside me as many times as they need.
For me, education isn't about everyone learning in exactly the same way or at exactly the same pace.
It's about giving students different ways to learn, build their confidence and keep coming back to something until it clicks. 🤍

I wanted to create more than just courses. I wanted somewhere our learners could continue to learn, ask questions, practise, build confidence, stay accountable and keep progressing throughout their qualification and beyond.
So welcome to the new weekly rhythm inside The Education Lounge 🤍
Every weekday at 9am, there’s something to help you move forward, from hair, beauty and theory to educator development and our Friday Focus Room.
Then across the weekend, we shift the focus to putting those skills into practice and building the career or business you actually want.
This is just September. Each month, a brand-new timetable will drop with new classes, topics and support.
🎓 Already studying a VTCT qualification with us or one of my Partner Centres? Then Education Lounge is included as part of your course, so there’s nothing extra to pay.
Not one of our students? You’re still invited! Whether you're studying somewhere else and would love some extra support, already working in the industry and want to keep developing, or you're simply someone who loves education and wants to build your skills, knowledge and confidence, you can join The Education Lounge as a monthly member too.
