Janine Onyiuke established Browjam in 2013. I quickly learned that although there are trends there is no one size fits all. Non- permanent Browjam artistry

2.

Both the brand and products were born out of frustration of the current products available and because the techniques were fixed they didn’t allow any flexibility or creativity. This is what ignited our journey to develop Browjam, which is about products, artistry, techniques, people and trends. Brow artistry is one of the most sought after professions in the beauty world yielding lucrative earnin

One thing I really want artists to understand is this…
Dense brows are not automatically a “no” for microblading.

It all comes down to understanding your measures. ✨
I see so many artists instantly saying:

“I don’t work on dense brows.”
“I don’t work on wiry brows.”
“I don’t work on mature skin.”

And yes ,there are some clients that are better suited for machine work, shading or a combination brow.

But not every dense brow is the same.

This client had mature skin and wiry brows, but her skin still had enough integrity to work on, her brow hair was lighter, and most importantly ,the density sat in an area where movement could still breathe naturally through the design.

That’s the key.

When working with dense brows using hair strokes, you do NOT want to match the density with more density.

That’s where artists go wrong.

You actually want more movement, more spacing, and strokes with impact.

Less strokes with Better placement and more intentionality.

As you can see, I haven’t used loads of strokes here ,but every stroke has clarity, visibility and enough saturation to heal beautifully. 🤍

One of my amazing clients Michelle came in yesterday for her brows before her wedding in just five weeks 🤍

She arrived with loads of inspiration photos ,shapes she loved, brows she thought she wanted, ideas pulled from my page.

But honestly, from what she naturally had to the look she was showing me, I knew it might feel like too much for her.

A lot of clients think they want a certain brow because they love it on someone else, but sometimes it’s so different from what they’re used to seeing on themselves.

So we drew on the fuller shape she originally wanted, and together we realised it just didn’t feel like her.

That’s when we agreed:
“Your wedding is in five weeks , let’s keep them soft, natural, and just enhance what you already have.”

And honestly, that was the best decision 🤍

For me the goal isn’t to completely change someone’s face to the point there husband doesn’t even know who he is marrying anymore , it’s to make them feel a little more fresher and a little more put together! Helping them be the most confident version of themselves.

Especially for moments as special as walking down the aisle ✨

For years, I thought the one pass technique was just something you felt.

An intuitive approach.Something artists either had… or didn’t.

But Last year proved something beautiful:

One pass technique is teachable.

It’s intentional. Repeatable. And rooted in clear principles that artists can learn and apply.

I’ve now had the privilege of teaching artists around the world how to create:
👉 cleaner passes
👉 crisp healed strokes
👉 better retention
👉 softer healing

And watching those breakthroughs happen has been incredible.

Because great healed results aren’t created by luck. They come from understanding:

•depth
• pressure
• skin behaviour
• pigment flow
• intentional implantation

That’s exactly what we dive into inside the One Pass Masterclass.

If you want to refine your technique and create cleaner, more intentional one pass results…

Your brain is your biggest weapon or your biggest problem.

You the mind/soul are the driver of your brain your thoughts, and your emotions.

A thought comes in. A emotion comes in.And you then have a choice whether you feed it… or change your perspective on it.

I’ve come to terms with the fact that the human part of me may never feel fully satisfied with the brows I create and that still doesn’t take away from the fact they can be banging, high level work.

The thoughts come in. The feelings come in. But now I choose to reframe it.

Who am I to say? If my client is happy, then I’m good.

Will I always be grafting and looking to improve? Of course. That’s the nature of being an artist.

But at least now I can enjoy the process instead of torturing myself through it.

Maybe that’s why I believe in the One Pass mindset so much.

Less overworking. Less chasing perfection. More trust. More flow. Better artistry.

You are the master of your own mind.

Choose happiness.

To be writing off a whole group of people as “mature skin clients” because a few artists struggle to get the right depth is honestly ludicrous in my opinion.

If you’re truly skilled in microblading, and you genuinely understand skin and depth, then you’ll know that many mature clients actually have AMAZING skin to work on.

It’s not about age. It’s about reading the skin.

Understanding whether the skin is thick, thin, fragile, dense and then adjusting your pressure and depth accordingly.

Are there some clients with skin that’s too thin? Absolutely. But the majority aren’t.

The issue usually isn’t the age… it’s the artist’s understanding of depth control.

That’s exactly why inside my One Pass Masterclass, we focus heavily on understanding skin as a WHOLE:

-Thick vs thin skin
-How to adjust your pressure
-How to master depth properly
-How to work confidently in one clean pass

For years, I was using a one pass technique in microblading and getting amazing results.

At the time, I thought it was just intuitive. I didn’t fully understand why I was able to create such strong retention and clean healed strokes in one pass. I just knew it worked.

As I continued advancing my education, especially through learning machine stroke techniques, I started understanding the deeper mechanics behind skin, pigment, and trauma.

But it wasn’t until I attended The Science Behind Cosmetic Tattooing with the amazing that everything fully clicked.

For the first time, I understood the biological reason why one pass work heals better, creates less trauma, and creates stronger retention.

That knowledge became the final piece that helped me fully develop and teach my own One Pass Masterclass ✨

This training is focused on understanding:

• Skin and depth
• Pigments
• Hand technique and body mechanics
• Stroke control and pressure
• Why intentional one-pass work heals better

If you’re ready to create cleaner healed results and truly level up your microblading skills, this is for you 🤍

Microblading should be done with intention , not fear. 🤍

Yes, being cautious matters. But when caution turns into fear, artists often go too light… creating weak, patchy, lymphed brows that lead to even more problems down the line.

The truth is, most artists were never taught the why behind depth. What correct depth actually looks like. How to read the skin. How to work intentionally instead of fearfully.

And when you don’t fully understand depth, microblading starts to feel uncomfortable while you’re doing it.

There is a correct depth and it can be taught.

That’s exactly what we cover inside my One Pass Masterclass:

• Understanding perfect depth
• Reading the skin intentionally
• Adjusting pressure + technique
• Pigment selection
• Creating healed results with confidence

📍 Dundee🗓 8th June⏰ 9AM–6PM💸 £599 + goodie bag included

This class is for artists ready to stop guessing and start understanding.

Most artists don’t struggle with technique…
They struggle with trust.

Trusting their hand.
Trusting their depth.
Trusting that what they’ve placed… is enough.

And that’s exactly where overworked brows begin.

Not because you don’t care.
But because no one ever taught you how to read the skin in real time.

In my in-person OnePass Masterclass (8th of June) , we go deep into this.

✨ How different skin types actually respond to your blade
✨ How to control your depth without guessing
✨ How to slow your hand without losing confidence
✨ How to read when the skin is saying “stop”
✨ How pigment truly behaves beneath the surface
✨ And how to create results that heal clean , without overworking

This isn’t about doing more passes.
It’s about becoming so intentional… you don’t need to.

Because when you understand the skin,
you stop working from fear
and start working with clarity.

If you know this is the piece you’ve been missing…

THE ONE PASS MASTERCLASS 🔥

For years, I’ve watched microbladers struggle with healed results.

Not because they aren’t talented, but because they were never taught what actually happens when pigment meets skin.

And once you understand that… everything changes.

You stop guessing. You stop overworking the skin. You start creating results intentionally.

This isn’t about learning more. It’s about refining what you already do, properly.

Inside this in-person training, you’ll learn how to:

• Find the correct depth on every skin type
• Understand how skin holds (or rejects) pigment
• Choose pigments that heal clean and crisp
• Master the one-pass technique for better healed strokes• Control pressure, speed, stretch and movement
• Create consistent results, not lucky ones

You’ll also get hands-on practice with real-time coaching, plus a full live demo so you can actually see correct depth and control.

I don’t know about you…
but if I’m getting hair stroke brows, I want them to actually look like hair strokes. So do my clients Tbh

Not something that kinda looks like it…
Not something that used to look like it…
And definitely not something that disappears or blurs out.

I’m talking crisp strokes But still soft and natural. Still sitting nicely in the skin when they heal.

Because fresh can look good… but if the heal doesn’t hold it?

What’s the point.

And this is where I see so many artists struggling—

You’re either:
going too shallow → nothing stays
or going too deep → everything blows

And it’s frustrating… because you know what you’re trying to create.

But here’s the thing…
this isn’t just about “doing strokes.”

You need to understand: skin, pigment, pressure, flow and placement, blade and your technique.

There’s levels to this.

And this is exactly what we go deep into inside my Microblading Mastery Bootcamp.

It’s 8 solid weeks of mentorship, community,
constructive feedback and real support…

Not just watching videos and hoping for the best.

You’re getting eyes on your work! You’re getting Refinement, Corrections and Breakthrough moments.

That’s how your strokes actually change.

We’re now on the count down and starting for April 27th and it’s already filling up

So if it’s been on your mind this is your nudge.
