Beautiful Easter wedding!😍

I don’t normally write personal posts on my business page but just wanted to explain my absence and lack of replies to messages recently. About 5 weeks ago my 9 year old son Hamish came out of school with his eye completely ‘wonky’. It was actually terrifying, his eyes were drooping, and seemed all over the place. I phoned the GP who told be to phone the optician. I phoned a local optician Andrew Bolton and explained what was happening. Andrew was so nice even though it was 4.55 in the afternoon he stayed late to take my call. He asked me to email pictures of Hamish looking in all directions and he booked him in for a check up. About an hour after that call Andrew phoned me back from home, he did not like the look of his eyes. Could be nothing but could be something sinister and he got the eye specialist from Ninewells to phone me and asked me to bring Hamish in that night.
There was talk of ruling out brain tumours, cellulitis & blood clots. I was in complete shock.
Thankfully the specialist was able to rule out all those horrible things and diagnosed him with a squint. Side note, apparently the surgery & treatment for squints has gone up by 50% since lockdown!!
Hamish has been dealing with sever double vision since then. Today he was booked in to get surgery to tighten the muscles in his right eye. He’s just come round from the op and is in a lot of pain. He’s a total trooper and much braver than me - I’m a bloody wreck!!! I intended on getting through my diary while he was under but I’m a bit emotional and have spent most of the morning crying. He’s relaxed right now and is sleeping off the anaesthesia. The nurses allowed me to lie next to him to keep him calm.

Sorry for the long post, and I’m so sorry for anyone waiting to hear back from me - I will be reading my messages once I’m back home but for the rest of today I’m going to be cuddling my boy.
