Hi followers!

It's been a rough few years and makeup was once my escape...

I was diagnosed with ADHD (and I'm well aware there are more conditions I have) but I'm done fighting to be heard by "experts" who really don't understand 🤭

My focus for the future is still the same: improving my mental health to get back to makeup 💄

It's been 2 years since I got my own place and I haven't been well enough to set up my makeup stuff but that's in progress now 🥳🥰

I once taught make-up classes and was the Secretary for Edinburgh University's Makeup and Special Effects Society - I was responsible for all the SFX side 🥰 it made me feel so proud and awesome to teach others and when I was in Australia years ago I promised myself I would teach masterclasses when I was back... And I did 🥰💖

But the work doesn't stop (especially with ADHD 😂)

I'm currently studying a Mental Health course so I can continue to advocate for su***de awareness and also raising funds for the rescue I got my amazing dog 🐶 Rufus 🐶 from buuuuuutttttt....
I'm still available to teach others and for my expertise and experience I am well worth it 🥰
I live in Dundee so I'm always keen for a local gig, can travel for costs....

Doing some makeup tonight for friends ☠️🎃👻👽

Hey!
I'm Linzi and I taught myself special effects makeup and bodypainting, while I was studying at University around 2013

I followed one bodypainting tutorial and realised I had a real nack for it!

And with SFX I was really detailed - now I know I'm autistic with ADHD it makes sense haha! I looked at real bruises and cuts (often using my own body as I'm so clumsy 🤭) and talked to a forensic pathologist about blood spatters, muscles, anatomy and more.

I've always been slightly macabre but finding a natural talent for understanding physical features and how to adapt makeup to everyone's own face shape was so satisfying. I've never been particularly artistic (just autistic lol) so I was so chuffed I found something I'm good at.

Haven't done makeup in a few years as it takes hours to setup, prep, think of ideas, make them work, take photos, learning how to use a DSLR, edit from RAW and upload..... the executive dysfunction said Hell No.

But every Halloween I get an itch to do makeup.....

One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you 👢🥾

Had a huge Life Change the past..... 5 years....?

Finally let myself remember I'm Autistic with ADHD. Figured it out when I was a kid but trauma surrounding it blocked it all out of my memory so that was fun.

Finally listening to myself and advocating for myself first. Learned so much about myself and got so much joy back. Can't wait to see what's next ......

I barely wear makeup these days 🙊
The past few years have been an absolute rocket to space 🚀
Recently I've really been looking back on my life and reflecting on what makes me, ME.
I'm a badass who taught themselves Special Effects Makeup & Body painting ✌🏻 and found they had a natural talent for it and damn good at making things look realistic because I'd research medical notes and images and ask my friends in Anatomy and Forensic Pathology about blood spatters and bruising patterns....Yeah, I go all in 😂
Excited for my rebirth, it's all up from here 🐦 🔥

My first Non-Makeup injury post! 😂

This tit right here always wears a helmet but my ADHD slapped me hard today.

Was supposed to be going to a Rest and Relaxation stretch session 🧘🏻‍♀️ at the hospital community garden with my mum......

But in true Linzi fashion, I forgot my helmet and flew off my bike 🚲 and slammed my head hard on the road instead 🤕

Went to A&E and got it glued back together within a few hours

My leg/hip today is looking like the road rash makeup I did for Halloween skate disco 🪩 😀 😀 😀

I am Self Taught and bloody good if I do say so myself 🎺😂
🧠 I am Autistic and my pattern recognition is fantastic. I am able to recreate very realistic pieces using makeup. I can tell when a skin tone does not match or when movies have used certain products.
🧠 Having ADHD also - I have watched thousands of hours of tutorials and replicated many things.
💻 I have had work experience as a Software Tester and use these skills in my work style, finding the best way of using products.
✨ I think of the whole picture when working - including removal of these products ✨
