Excited to share the photos and the news of my recent collaboration with Leanna Tannar Photography & Nicole Abbott to produce these stunning images for the Liga Boyd collection that have ended up featuring in Marika magazine ❤️

I had a similar picture of this look up a week or so ago, but these ones are significantly better and I will tell you why.

This is the what you see is what you get approach.

I debated putting up these pictures because it's a completely raw, close up makeup on my own face.

No special lighting. No filters. Taken on my back facing camera to capture every last detail of my face.

Including texture
Including scars
Including makeup imperfections

Anyone who knows me, knows I hate being my own model. I don't have that "Instagram" beauty.

My face is asymmetrical, I have a crooked nose and a scarred lip.

Working on someone else, I never see their "flaws" . I always work objectively to achieve the look they want, almost like their face is a blueprint canvas and I am using makeup to construct the best outcome.
I'm sure any other makeup artist would say the same.
The only thing we are judging is how good of a job WE have done to ensure YOU look your best and YOU are satisfied.

And that's what makes me love makeup so much, it gives people the confidence whilst still feeling and looking like themselves. Everyone has beauty, it just may not always be portrayed in the stereotypical ways.
