🚧 Support Thornton's Local Businesses During Main Street Railway Bridge Closure 🚧

From 19th October, Thornton Main Street will close at the railway bridge (Kirkcaldy end) for around five months while the bridge is replaced as part of the Fife Electrification Project.

The closure will have a significant impact on many of our local businesses. Shops, cafés, takeaways, hairdressers, and other services that depend on passing trade through the Main Street are likely to see a substantial drop in customer numbers during the works.

Now more than ever, it's important that we support the businesses that are at the heart of our community. Rather than travelling elsewhere, please consider shopping locally, using local services, and recommending Thornton businesses to friends and family. Every purchase, no matter how small, can make a real difference over the coming months.

These businesses have supported our community for years including providing employment for may local residents. Let's make sure we support them through this challenging period so they are still here when the road fully reopens.
