It’s a New Year so we all know what that means - everyone is flat out setting themselves new goals and targets.
Aspiring to be the fastest, fittest, strongest and in the best shape they’ve ever been before!
But there is one thing we always over look when we set these goals and targets - our recovery sessions.
Why do we forget about filtering in our recovery sessions? Sometimes we forget how important they really are - no one can give optimal performance without adequate recovery.
Let’s change that in 2025 - the Recovery is equally as important as the workout in the grand scheme of things.
So get your session booked 🙌🏽

🔹 Cancellation Policy🔹
Unfortunately it has come to the time where a cancellation policy must be put in place.
I totally understand things come up and appointments need to be changed, however a little notice goes a long way.
Thanks so much to everyone for their continued support and for understanding this policy.
Lots of love Niamh x

4 things your Massage therapist wants you to know:
- Communication is KEY: Each session I provide is individual to each client. Be sure to communicate what areas need the most attention, if the pressure is ok or needs adjusted. It’s your session you deserve to get the most out of it.
- Be vocal about the type of session you want: Some days you might want a silent treatment or others a chat/vent from start to finish. Both suit me!
- Do you have an important training session planned the day/week of your massage? Be sure to let me know so we can adjust the time/day to let your body fully recover before hand. Or be sure to do your training session before your Massage.
- DONT FORGET TO BREATE! When working around tender/ tension built up areas it can be easy to forget to breathe or maybe there’s a fear of sounding funny. You’re not the only one and we’ve heard it all before! Did you know breathing fully and deeply during massage helps oxygenate your blood supply to help release those knots/tense areas.

❗️ MASSEUSES + SALON OWNERS ❗️
I am sharing this post to bring awareness to all those who use Massage Oils.
I myself experienced something I never thought was even possible nor have I ever heard of before.
After washing and drying my own towels that I use for my clients I took them from my dryer, folded them and placed them into the same bag I always do ready to bring back to work with me the following day.
Only to discover several hours later these towels had caught fire by them selves under my stairs and had began to set fire to the surrounding items.
When researched we found out this was to due to “Towel Combustion”.
Thankfully this was caught on time and no major damage was done + everything can be replaced.
Please be so careful when washing + drying towels that may contain oil.
Feel free to share with anyone who may benefit of this post!

Why you should get a pre/post event massage
Enhancing performance
Sports Massage loosens tight Muscles, increases flexibility and improves range of motion. This preparation is key in helping you achieve your best run.
Injury prevention
Regular Sports massage before events can significantly reduce the risk of injuries. By targeting specific areas prone to stress during running massage helps alleviating tension and preventing muscle strains
Speeding up recovery
Sports Massage aids this process by improving circulation, flushing out toxins and bringing nutrients to tired muscles.
Reducing muscle soreness
A post race/event massage can significantly reduce this discomfort by alleviating muscle tension and promoting relaxation.
Restoring mobility
Post event/race your muscles may feel stiff + fatigued. Sports Massage helps in restoring mobility and flexibility.

Here’s my most frequently asked question- how often should I get a sports massage??
Some factors that may depend on how often you have a massage include:
· Your general health:
If you are a fairly healthy person, with no injuries or chronic conditions, you can pretty much get a massage as often as you want. If you’ve got an injury or chronic condition and have been advised to have massage you may come in for a block of regular treatment until the issue is resolved.
· If you are training hard for a specific event you may find you get a build up of tightness that benefits from a sports massage on a monthly or weekly basis. Or you may get tight shoulders from sitting all day at a computer and just want some treatment occasionally to reduce the tension.
Let’s start giving that body the recovery it needs 🤷🏽♀️
