I first learned hot wax (waxing without strips) 20 years ago. Since 1999 I have specialised in waxing, mainly Brazilians. My beauty career started at Pamela Stevens in 1998, after there I moved on to the Urban Retreat at Harrods. After almost 4 exciting years there I was head hunted by the legendary, Otylia Roberts to begin her specialist waxing team, where I stayed for 5 years. After 9 tiring, commuting years, I moved to St Albans where I ventured out on my own and took on 2 members of staff who I trained in the hot wax method. With eventually 3 children, after juggling the business and family for 8 years, life was hectic and when the girls at the St Albans salon also had their own babies, it was decision time. My family came first, I closed the St Albans salon and relocated my business to my home in Dunstable. At The Wax Shack I continue to use HOT wax and specialise in The Brazilian. I also offer Sugaring (legs only) which is another strip free method and lash and brow tinting. Hot wax is by far the most superior waxing method. It's less painful, more effective, it's much kinder on sensitive skins especially waxing on the face and there is simply no other way to have a Brazilian bikini wax. This method comes at a premium but I offer it at a considerable discount compared to London prices. The Wax Shack is a clean, comfortable, beautiful space and I offer parking onsite. Diary is open up to the end of the year
I will be closed for the week of Monday 10th August and also for the bank holiday weekend.
Someone pointed out to me last week that all my Fridays were open in July but no availability was showing for my evenings.
I hadn’t realised that they were all still closed!
I have now rectified that so July has more availability now. Bookings are open until the end of August.
I will be closed a couple of weeks in August for some rest and family time as we have a big birthday in the house to be celebrating! ☀️
Just checking in with you all.
A lot of you already know that I have been studying for the last year and as the course draws to a close the workload ramps up.
I have had to reduce some hours in June to get my work completed but as of July it’s done and we can go back to normal!
I’m getting a lot of messages about limited availability.
To answer the question on most of your lips, yes, if the booking system shows no availability, there is no availability.
But please do send me a message letting me know what you need and when you would ideally like it and I will pop you on my waiting list as things change ALL the time!
Alternatively, you can keep checking too.
Adding to that please, please book ahead to avoid disappointment, especially if it’s for your holiday wax.

December is near and just a reminder that I always close for the Christmas and New Year period.
My last working day is Monday 22nd December.
Also a note to say I am operating temporarily reduced hours in January so please plan ahead to avoid disappointment.

As most of you already know, my husband and I have made The Wax Shack our shared working space.
We are both absolutely loving our new look shack and working in this beautiful studio.

As of September I’ll be swapping Thursday evenings to Wednesday evenings.
Same timings. 6pm-9pm.
