I’ve created this page to raise money for the incredible place that is St Cuthbert’s Hospice.

Those of us who are local know the amazing work St Cuthbert’s does, but until you experience it first hand, as we did with Dad, you can never truly understand just how incredible these people are.

We feel so incredibly lucky that Dad was able to spend his final days there, surrounded by the most amazing care, dignity and compassion. We will never be able to thank them enough.

The hospice relies heavily on charitable donations to keep providing this care, and it costs millions each year to keep its services running.

Please, please dig deep guys. Every single donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. This means the absolute world to us and is only the beginning of what we hope to do to give back to St Cuthbert’s. 💚

❄️ SO… WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS AFTER WE FREEZE A SKIN LESION? 👀

This is the part of cryotherapy you don’t normally get to see.

Cryotherapy uses a precise, targeted application of nitrous oxide to rapidly freeze suitable unwanted benign skin lesions.

But the interesting part happens after you leave the clinic.

As this client’s healing journey shows:

❄️ Immediately after treatment — the treated area begins its response to freezing.
✨ Over the following days — redness, swelling, blistering or crusting can develop as part of the normal healing process.
🤎 Over the next couple of weeks — the treated tissue gradually dries and sheds as the skin heals underneath.
🤍 After healing — you’re left with the newly healed skin, which can continue to settle in colour and appearance over time.

And all of that starts with a treatment that can take just seconds per lesion.

Skin tags. Warts. Seborrhoeic keratoses and other suitable benign lesions can often be treated with cryotherapy — without cutting or stitches.

That little lesion you’ve been looking at for months (or years 👀) might be much easier to deal with than you think.
