Why Do You Feel Sore After a Deep Pressure Massage? 🤔

Have you ever had a deep pressure or Thai massage and felt a little sore or achy for a day or two afterward?

This is actually quite common! During a deep massage, tight muscles, knots, and areas of tension are worked more intensely. As your muscles release and circulation improves, you may experience mild soreness similar to what you feel after a good workout.

✅ Usually lasts 24–72 hours
✅ A sign that tight muscles have been worked on
✅ Drinking plenty of water and gentle stretching can help
✅ Light movement and rest can aid recovery

However, massage should never cause severe pain or prolonged discomfort. If soreness lasts longer than a few days or feels excessive, please let your therapist know so future treatments can be adjusted to your comfort level.
