This client came to me for lip filler… but she didn’t want “big lips”.
She wanted her lips to look softer, fresher and more defined — without anyone knowing she’d had anything done.
As we get older, our lips can lose volume, definition and hydration, and the shape we once had can gradually change.
For this client, it wasn’t about changing her face.
It was about restoring what had been lost and bringing a little more balance back to her features.
We talked about what she wanted, what would suit her face and, just as importantly, what she didn’t want.
Because good aesthetics isn’t about following trends or choosing a treatment from a menu.

A little sneak peek from my first ever photoshoot…
I was so nervous about doing this.
At 53, standing in front of a camera and knowing every little thing you’re self-conscious about is going to be captured honestly terrified me.
Because the truth is, I don’t always recognise the woman I see in photographs anymore.
In my head, I’m still me.
But then you catch yourself in a photo and notice the changes in your face, your skin, your confidence… and it can knock you a little.
And I know I’m not the only woman who feels like that.
But I had the most amazing day and I’m actually really proud that I pushed myself to do it.
Because this photoshoot represents so much more than some nice photographs.
I’ve spent over 20 years working in the medical field, first as a Paramedic and then training nurses within the NHS and almost 5 years in aesthetics.
I’ve built Lotus Aesthetics from the ground up, and somewhere along the way I realised that the women I most want to help are women just like me.
Women who aren’t trying to turn back time.
Women who don’t want to look 20 years younger.
Women who still feel like themselves inside and simply want the outside to reflect that a little more.
To look fresher.
Healthier.
More confident.
But most importantly… still like you.
So this is me at 53, almost 54!
A little nervous.
A little out of my comfort zone.
Definitely noticing the changes that come with getting older…
But also incredibly proud of the woman I’ve become and the business I’ve built.

✨ JUST LOOK AT THIS 2-WEEK RESULT! ✨
This lovely lady came to me really bothered by these vertical lines around her eyebrow area.
Because they sat further away from the typical “11 lines”, we didn’t just assume Antiwrinkle (AW) was the answer. We had a full consultation first to establish whether they were sleep lines or being created by repeated muscle movement.
On assessment, it was very clear that muscle movement was the culprit.
She’d never had AW before and was understandably nervous about the injections and what the treatment would feel like, so we talked everything through, put her mind at ease and only went ahead once she felt completely comfortable.
Fast forward to her 2-week review… WOW. 😍
An absolutely beautiful result and, most importantly, one very happy client.
I have also explained that deeper lines which have developed over time don’t always disappear immediately. By reducing the repeated muscle movement that has been continually creasing the skin, their appearance can continue to soften over time.
This is exactly why consultation and assessment matter — it’s not simply about treating a line, it’s about understanding why it’s there in the first place.
