Your skin after a Derma 2.0 Microneedling session — what to expect in the days that follow.

Right after your appointment, your skin will look flushed and feel a little warm. That's completely normal and usually settles within a few hours.

Over the next day or two, some clients notice mild tightness or very light flaking — this is just the skin doing its thing as it starts to repair and renew. For others, it's barely noticeable at all.

Around days three to five, that's when things start to get exciting. The skin begins to look clearer and feel smoother, and the serums used during your session are still working away underneath.

By the end of the first week, most clients are looking at a noticeably fresher complexion — and that's just after one session. Results build really nicely over a course.

Some of the blemishes I see most often during consultations for Plasma Pen treatment.

Skin tags are probably the one I see the most. They can catch on clothing, get snagged by jewellery, or simply be somewhere that affects your confidence, such as the neck, underarm, eyelid or scalp.

Moles are another common enquiry. Any mole would need to have been checked by your GP first to rule out any health concerns. As a MapMyMole clinic, I can also provide a Mole Screening service.
Seborrhoeic keratoses, milia, papillomas and fibromas are also among the blemishes people frequently ask me about during consultations. Some of these can run in families and it’s lovely to meet several generations.

If you have a blemish that your GP has advised cannot be removed on the NHS, it may be worth arranging a Consultation. I'll assess suitability, answer any questions, and demonstrate the Plasma Pen procedure.
