Let’s Talk Needle Phobias ♥

We want you to feel as comfortable and confident as you possibly can be while your with us. We believe that first and foremost, a friendly face and a caring, understanding chat makes a huge difference when it comes to nerve wracking procedures of this sort.

If you’re worried about your procedure, make sure to let us know and to take a look at the following info before your appointment. ♡✨

There are incremental steps that both you and your practitioner can take before and during your appointment if you suffer from a needle phobia:

♥ Make sure you’ve eaten and that you’re as hydrated as you possibly can be before your treatment.

♥ Ask your practitioner to explain the ‘Applied Tension Technique’ - this is a muscle tension technique used to raise your blood pressure, to distract the mind and to subsequently reduce the chances of fainting.

♥ Your practitioner will suggest laying you flat during your procedure to decrease the chances of light headedness.

♥ Your practitioner will avoid showing you even a glimpse of the needle, and we will suggest closing your eyes, or looking away during your procedure.

♥ You’ll be offered treatment distraction techniques, stress balls and a facial vibrating tool (this really does help!).

♥ We also encourage bringing somebody with you, this tends to help with nerves in general and can serve as that extra comforting addition to your experience with us.

Lastly, we understand that needle phobias can be a very real and overwhelming phenomenon. We will always follow your lead and respect any wishes to halt your appointment at any moment. The power is always in your hands. ♡✨

There are a few things to think about when preparing for your Dermal Filler treatment ✨

Take a look at our pre-treatment advice to minimise common side effects & to maximise a smooth healing experience! ♡⇩

♥ Avoid alcohol for 48 hours prior to your appointment as this will thin the blood and subsequently cause more bruising.

♥ Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Advil and any other blood thinning medication/supplements 48 hours prior to treatment if you can. As these can also increase your chances of bruising.

♥ Consider taking Arnica and Anti-histamine tablets 2-3 days prior to treatment to reduce bruising and swelling.

♥ Avoid makeup on the day of your appointment, specifically on the area to be treated.

♥ Ensure you’ve eaten and you’re hydrated before your treatment.

♥ Reschedule your appointment within 24 hours if you have coldsores, an infection or an open wound on the treatment area.

♥ Book your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to any special occasions.

By 2 weeks any swelling and bruising will have subsided and here you should reap the benefits of your final results!
