A few weeks ago, we welcomed back the wonderful Lucy from Lucy | The First Aid Company for Mental Health First Aid training for all of our staff.

At Perry-Brown, caring for our guests means looking after more than just great hair. This training gave our team the knowledge and confidence to better support both themselves and the people who sit in our chairs every day.

A visit to the salon is often about so much more than a haircut. It’s a chance to chat, to unwind, and sometimes to share what’s on your mind. While we’re not mental health professionals, we believe in creating a safe, welcoming space and understanding how to recognise when someone may need a little extra support.

By continuing to invest in our team’s wellbeing and training, we’re ensuring they’re equipped to care for themselves, support one another, and help every guest feel comfortable, valued and truly looked after from the moment they walk through our doors.

Because exceptional service is about so much more than beautiful hair. 🤎

With this in mind, we’ll be closing the salon at 6pm today to make sure our team can get home safely and take care of themselves during the hot weather.

If you’re visiting us before then, our salon is fully air-conditioned and we’ll have plenty of cold drinks and water available to help keep you cool. 🧊💧

And remember, you don’t need to have an appointment to pop in! If you’re in town and need somewhere cool to sit for a little while, you’re always welcome to come in, take a moment and have a glass of water or refill your bottle. 💧🤎
