Through my own families experience, I’ve become really passionate about adapting treatments to fit the client, rather than expecting the client to fit the mould of a typical salon or spa guest.

Sometimes parents and carers can be too close to the source. You can say the same thing 100 times, but hearing it from someone else, in a different environment, can make all the difference.

When Molly first came to me, she was really struggling with her hair. She’d reached that age where Mum no longer helps in the same way, and something that should be simple had become really difficult.

So we chatted, did a wee bit of science so she could actually see what was happening, and added a tiny bit of education to help her help herself.

She wanted no music, no extra chatting and only wanted me to touch her hair.

So that’s exactly what we did.

Fast forward, and now she chooses the playlist, looks forward to coming and has even told Mum she can wait outside because I think we’re practically friends now.🥹

This is why I love what I do.

It’s not about making people fit the treatment. It’s about making the treatment fit them.

I know today brings a mix of excitement, nerves and maybe a few tears for children, mums, dads and families of every shape and size.

My little niece is starting Primary 1 today, and I genuinely can’t believe where the time has gone. 🥹 This is also the first year we haven’t been buying school uniforms because Liam is off to college. It really is true what they say… the years fly by.

So whatever today looks like for you, I’m thinking of you all.

A huge good luck to all the teachers, school support staff and everyone working behind the scenes to make today a success. We’ve loved welcoming so many of you into Head HQ over the summer holidays. It’s always one of our busiest times, with teachers and parents squeezing in a little bit of self-care before the routines begin again.

Today we’ve got a few lovely mums coming in. Sometimes just knowing you’ve got an hour booked out for yourself is enough to get you through the morning chaos and I absolutely love being part of that.
