A butcher in Gainsborough, appreciated my mobile sharpening service so much he gave me some of his ‘award winning’ ‘Beef, Stilton and Blueberry Sausages’, and they were delicious.

Hi, I will be again on the market in Retford on Saturday.

You might like to know that two of the sharpening machines I use were both designed and built here in the UK, in the city of Sheffield.

The axe in the pic was sharpened on one of those machines the Sorby belt sander...fantastic system.

Hi, will be in Retford market square again tomorrow!

Kitchen knives vary in cost from several £100 pounds to just £8-£15, even lower is possible but I would question their quality to be honest, but re-sharpening is value for money even for the lower priced knife.
We charge (at my workshop and market stall in Retford) £2 to sharpen plus £1 if they need re-tipping / the removal of significant damage… so even based on a cost of £8 you save up to £6, every time you re-sharpen and knives can be re-sharpened many times for many years…!!

You can also justify buying better quality knives and not have your draws cluttered up with blunt knives which you simply end up throwing away…
