As a group we acknowledge our responsibility to lead the way in eradicating racism and all forms of discrimination and inequality within our community. It is not enough to be against racism - we should all be doing something about it. This is why we are setting up Challenge Racism Eastbourne.

This is our answer to the calling of the BLM movement to make a difference and stand up for change., The same principles are still at the core. It has inspired and launched a space in Eastbourne where all people of colour are supported and welcomed, with a new identity and vocal point for challenging racism in Eastbourne.

This has grown from a focus group after the protest in June, having weekly meetings and deciding what is next on the course of action of fighting racism.
