The Barbers At Number One opened its doors in May 2010 as Fair Oak’s first Barbers in over 50 years.

• Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm & Saturday 8:30am-2pm
Please note, the last haircut will be approximately 30 minutes before closing time.
We reserve the right to close early at anytime. The plan was simple - to offer a high quality walk in service, no appointments needed, for men and boys of all ages. Since we opened our doors, thanks to the support of the local community, we’ve gone from strength to strength and have become an established part of village life.
In 2013, a new management team, led by Lisa Smith, took over the running of The Barbers At Number One. Lisa brought with her not only a great deal of barbering experience, but exciting plans on how to ensure The Barbers At Number One remains the go-to barbershop in the area.
On our social media you will find the important things – our opening times, our price list and how to find us. We’ll also publish any important changes to our opening hours, especially at times such as Christmas or Easter, so keep checking back. The current haircut prices have remained the same for 6 years now but in order to properly reflect the cost of our ever-increasing overheads it has unfortunately become necessary for us to review our charges and we have decided to amend them as shown below with effect from 1st July 2026.
