After 5 and a half incredible years, it’s time to close the doors of the Gorgie Road salon 🤍

What a chapter it has been.

The Beauty Queen officially opened its doors after the first lockdown — but the decision to move into new premises was made right in the middle of Covid. At a time when the world felt uncertain and businesses were pausing, I took a leap of faith.

Signing for a new space during lockdown could have gone either way. It was a risk, a gamble, and honestly a slightly scary move. But I believed in the vision, and when we finally opened those doors after lockdown 1, you showed up.

And you kept showing up.

From first appointments and nervous patch tests, to wedding mornings, glow-ups, catch-ups, laughs, tears and everything in between… this space has held so many memories. You weren’t just clients – you became my beauty queens, my cheerleaders, and in many cases, my friends.

Building and running this salon has been one of the proudest experiences of my life. It’s grown me in ways I never expected and given me moments I’ll always carry with me.

But sometimes chapters close so new ones can begin.

This isn’t an ending. It’s a pivot. A fresh start. The beginning of something new that I’m so excited to share with you soon.

Thank you for every appointment booked, every recommendation made, every kind word, every bit of loyalty and love over the past 5 and a half years. You’ve meant more to me than you’ll ever know.

After a crazy few months, it’s time to switch off and recharge the batteries! The Beauty Queen will be closed until Thursday 13 July. Any messages will be dealt with upon my return to the salon.
