As part of our United World Schools (UWS), every Tropic purchase is helping to create a pathway to permanent and powerful change for some of the world’s poorest, most remote communities.

We are so proud to tell you that as well as funding existing UWS schools so they can continue to thrive, together, with your help, we have fully funded a new school for a community!

The school will be built for the Ta Lart Thmey community in the Steung Treng province in northeast Cambodia, where less than 10% of people can read or write. The nearest primary school is three and a half hours' walk away, so education for this community has been completely out of reach - until now 🙌

Every new UWS school also brings with it sanitation, providing a clean water source that everyone can access. The school will also provide teaching jobs and training opportunities for local people, ensuring our impact helps the entire village for years to come.
