I want you to meet Anna.

She might not know it, but Anna is one of my favourite people. Yesterday, I got to see her at her first performance, and so while I'm here being super proud of her I want to tell you all about her, because she deserves her flowers.

When I moved to Edinburgh in January 2023, Anna was one of my very first customers when I re-started up business in my new home, right there in the hallway. Since then, I've seen her every four weeks without fail for the three and a half years, and she's no longer only a client, but a wonderful friend.

Over the years we have literally laughed, cried, cried laughing and formented insurrections. This amazing woman has come with me through it all - two premises moves, a redundancy, seven day work weeks and even that one time I thought for a second I ripped her eyebrow off (it's okay, it was actually just some poorly moved pink hair). Overtime our little world at the desk has grown to always have Gen for a double appointment, regular visits from her husband Steven and lots of cuddles with the dogs Houston and Dexter.

If this wasn't enough (and this post is the tip of the iceberg), Anna is also just insanely impressive. Shes a medical scientific researcher at the forefront of groundbreaking work, and has even worked with the medicines that keep me personally healthy and able to do what I love. She's also handled some of lifes truly toughest trials with a grace I can't begin to process.

I love all of my clients, and Anna is now categorically the longest serving. I owe her an awful lot. In business, very little is garuanteed, and very little can be counted on. Except Anna. You can always count on Anna.

Taking a moment down memory lane for the most important set - my wedding nails ❤️

As beautiful and simple as they are, these took in excess of 5 hours over two days! Each of these flower charms had to be assembled individually with the rose gold centre beads to match my hair piece and jewellery. And yes, i did accidentally glue the beads to my tweezers but beauty is (emotional) pain 😂
