✖️Guns and Rose Petals✖️
-
This has to my go to base these days, it’s reliable, matte and long lasting. ▪️
-
For the base I used a mixture of my Milani conceal and perfect foundation on 0.2 Natural and my Mac NC30 Studio fix. As my concealer I used my all time fav collection cosmetics concealer in shade fair. I set under my eyes with Mac pressed powder in NC5 and my face with 30 Natural translucent 2, powder by Chanel beauty. -
Of course I contoured with benefit hoola bronzer and then I bronzed up with a mix of Mac cheeky bronze mineralize skin finish and my Lorac pro Palette in Bronze. ▪️
-
I rouged my cheeks with Benefits gorgeous dandelion blush and highlighted my Anastasia Beverley hills glow kit in shades Stardust and mimosa. I then finished the look off with my Mac studio fix spray. Finishing this look off for a lovely evening with my husband.

✖️Pink with a touch of Gold✖️
-
To build up the depth in my eyes I used the @toofaced chocolate bar palette in shades ‘Semi Sweet’, ‘Cherry Cordial’ and ‘Triple Fudge’. I blended these shades around the crease. I then blended them out with a beautiful soft pink shade by @sleekmakeup this shade was from one of their palettes that I depanned a few years ago. ▪️
-
I then cut the crease with my favourite vegan friendly and budget friendly concealer by @collectionlove called ‘Lasting Perfection Ultimate wear concealer’ in the shade fair. I also use this to conceal under my eyes. ▪️
-
To set the crease I used ‘white chocolate’ from the chocolate bar palette and then pressed on the shades ‘Marzipan’ and ‘Champagne Truffle’. This gave the look a beautiful rose gold edge. I cleaned up the line and gently packed on the shade ‘Cherry Cordial’ with a very fine brush on the edges to define and deepen the cut crease. I also added the same shade under my lower lashes and on my lower waterline. ▪️
-
I added my favourite eyeliner by @stilacosmetics and lightly tapped some of the @australiscosmetics Metalix glitter in ‘Guns and Rose Petals’ on my inner corner. To finish off the look I added a coating of ‘They’re Real’ mascara by @benefitcosmeticsuk and topped off the look with the lashes I got from @amazon.uk .

✖️Wedding Anniversary Glam✖️

On the 30th of April was me and my loves one year wedding anniversary. We were meant to be in Amsterdam. However, due to COVID-19 our original plan was changed. So we had a lovely at home isolation celebration, consisting of dressing up, champagne and a yummy home cooked vegan Italian inspired meal.

I decided to go for a rose gold inspired look, to match the hints of rose gold I wore on our wedding day. I felt very glam, and my husband looked absolutely dashing!

How incredible is this makeup look by my beautiful friend Kelly. Go check her out. She’s extremely talented.

✖️The future of the Cut Crease✖️
-
During the turbulent ‘60s, the cut crease aesthetic matched the mood of the era. Thick and graphic eyeliner often defined the hard crease, with little to no blending of the heavily applied eyeshadow. The look was frequently paired with dramatic false eyelashes or mascara.▪️
-
How has the cut crease changed from the 1960s to the present day? It has become more common and wearable. The retro-chic technique can be spotted everywhere, from afternoons at the mall to high fashion shindigs in Hollywood, Paris, London or at your cousins sweet 16th.▪️
-
If you would like to know more about the cut crease style and how I created this look, let me know below. ⬇️⬇️

“I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa” 💙💙💙

✖️The Cut Crease✖️
-
Some may think of the cut crease as a modern-day invention, but it has been around long before YouTube or Instagram. ▪️
-
The cut crease first became a prominent beauty trend in the 1960s, a time that saw youthful trendsetters with disposable income for the first time since the austere wartime period. Along with hippie and mod fashion came bold and geometric eye makeup. Famous icons that popularized the cut crease during this decade include Audrey Hepburn, Liza Minnelli, Diana Ross, Edie Sedgwick, Barba Streisand, Elizabeth Taylor, supermodel Twiggy, and drag queen Divine.

✖️Colour POP✖️
-
Ohhh gosh, I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed working with colour, sometimes it takes throwing yourself out there to get your passion back. 💚💙💜💖
-
Who wants to see some more bright and vibrant looks? If so, what would you like to see?

✖️Jamaican inspired love✖️
-
When I moved to the UK I never thought I’d end up marrying a man who is a Scottish, Jamaican mix. So what better reason to do a Jamaican inspired look.
▪️

For this look I have used my tried and trusted Jeffree Star Cosmetics ‘Androgyny Palette’. I used the shade ‘Safe Word’ as the main transition shade. To create the halo eye I built up the inner and outer corners of the eye with the shades ‘Poison’ and ‘Swallow’, then blending out this with ‘Military.
▪️

To create the centre glow I used Collection cosmetics concealer in ‘fair’ to define the edge. I then patted on the shade ‘Chrome Yellow’ by Mac, and then blended in the edges with a small fluffy brush, lightly topping up with ‘Poison’. To give the golden glow I used a shade from one of my Sleek Cosmetic palette that I had de-panned. I also used this shade on the inner corner highlight.
▪️

The look was topped with some amazing lashes I got in bulk from eBay. Love them.

✖️Man Crush everyday✖️
-
I swear no matter how hard I try, I’ll never get my skin looking this good. I guess I was pretty lucky to have such a fabulous base to work with. - Talking about bases, here are the details on this sexy glow.
- Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation in shade NC42.
- Collection cosmetics lasting perfection concealer in 2 cool medium.
- KKW Beauty Creme contour stick in shade Dark II.
- Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Dark.
- Makeup Revolution Luxury baking powder in Lace.
- Benefit Hoola Bronzer.
- Jeffree Star Cosmetics Androgyny palette in shade Frosting mixed with the Balms Mary-Lou Manizer for the highlight.
- Set with Love shy Fix Mist.

How gorgeous does my husband look?

Absolutely loved creating this look. 💜💙💖💚

✖️Husband makeover✖️
-
I decided to create a new Instagram makeover challenge and this one involved my amazing husband. The look was created around the exact same makeup I had on the night I first met Luke.
-
It was our first date at a lovely Vegan restaurant called ‘Paradise Palms’. I knew Luke was part Jamaican, so I decided to base my makeup around the Jamaican flag. Using, black, green and yellow. It certainly captured Luke’s attention and he has loved all my extreme makeup ideas since. This was honestly so much fun to do and I would encourage anyone to try this with your significant other.
-
If you were to recreate your first date look what it would it be like?

✖️Glossy Lips✖️
-
I find the best way to do a glossy lip that isn’t to heavy and sticky, is to keep it simple. -
Make sure you prep your lips with a plain lip balm. I then used a mixture of two lip liners, both by Mac in the shades ‘Soar’ and ‘Whirl’. I coloured my lips with both shades making sure it’s all blended. -
To get that beautiful shine I used a Mac lipgloss in ‘Cut Loose’. Making sure to focus the product on the centre on my lips. -
I find this lip so easy to wear, it doesn’t have that tacky, sticky feeling and can be easily topped up with more gloss. Perfect for simple makeup, also full blown glam.

✖️Matte Brown Chic✖️
-
Every time I want to look a little more done up, but not stand out like a sore thumb I go for a soft matte brown smokey eye. This sort of look is so easy to master, and as long as you have a few good pigmented browns you’re good to go.
I love how this look can easily be more glammed up with some black eyeliner winged out, and a bright red lip. Or just by simplifying it with a lighter coverage foundation and natural lashes. You just can’t go wrong.

✖️Guess who is back✖️

Thought I’d come back from my hiatus with some matte brown smokey realness, simple glowing skin and a glossy lip. Who wants the details on this look?

Throwing it back to last year on my way to see Sean Paul. Thought I’d give my makeup a Jamaican flavour. 💛💚🖤

If you haven’t already go and give my instagram a follow. I’m so excited to start creating more custom content. 💚👌🏼💜

✖️Wedding Glam .3✖️

For the big day I always knew I wanted a rose gold brown toned Smokey eye. I think the Rose, Brown tones really suit my skin tone, especially when I have a tan.

On my eyes I created a deep smokey, subtle cut crease. I used Jeffree Star Cosmetics, beauty killer palette, ‘China white’ as a base and then used shade ‘Courtney’ as a gradual warm gradient colour. In my crease I started of with the shade ‘Semi Sweet’ from my Chocolate Bar palette by Too Faced. I then deepened out the crease and the outer corner with the mixture of the same shade and ‘Cherry Cordial’ slowly blending with a big fluffy brush into the original ‘Courtney’ colour. I then also deepened it a bit more to great more of a Smokey look using the Androgyny palettes shade ‘Dominatrix’.

I then cut my crease with my all time favourite collection cosmetics concealer in shade ‘fair’. I set this with a beautiful rose gold shade from the chocolate bar palette called ‘Marzipan’. After this I had to add more of an omph factor so added a beautiful metallic eyeshadow by Australis in ‘Guns and Rose Petals’.

I topped of with a very subtle slick of Stila eyeliner, and popped some inner corner highlight in my Mac Mineralize Skinfibish highlighter in ‘Soft & Gentle’.

I already had eyelash extensions done for the day so I just topped them up with some waterproof ‘Haute And Naughty Too Black’ by Mac.

I absolutely love the Kiwiana, Māori Vibe. Stunning.

Just Beautiful ❤🌀

✖️Wedding Glam .2✖️

Getting married in the Scottish highlands in the cool April spring. I wanted to ensure my makeup would stay in place all day long.

As a base I used a mixture of my Milani conceal and perfect foundation on 0.2 Natural and my Mac NC30 Studio fix. As my concealer I used my all time fav collection cosmetics concealer in shade fair. I set under my eyes with Mac pressed powder in NC5 and my face with 30 Natural translucent 2, powder by Chanel beauty.

Of course I contoured with benefit hoola bronzer and then I bronzed up with a mix of Mac cheeky bronze mineralize skin finish and my Lorac pro Palette in Bronze.

I rouged my cheeks with Benefits gorgeous dandelion blush and highlighted my Anastasia Beverley hills glow kit in shades Stardust and mimosa. I then finished the look off with my Mac studio fix spray. Absolutely setting this base in place.

✖️Wedding Glam✖️

For my big day, of course I couldn’t give up the opportunity to do my own makeup. I went for a soft glam Smokey eye, with hints of rose gold to match my wedding ring.

I used my all time favourite products which I’ll tag.

This was the most magical day of my life. A start to a new future, a new history, a new story. I found love in Scotland and I’ll be here from now on setting a my new life and business. Please feel free to reach out to me if you’re in the UK for some glam.

With summer just around the corner in New Zealand we all know that means one thing... festival season. 🦋✨💚

Has anyone got any great festivals they’re going to this summer?

Let me know what looks you have planned down below.

Creepy... but so fascinating.

I know these masks are super creepy but I wanted to see how realistic can it look and how makeup applies on it. I also pranked a bunch of people online after. Most of them were so scared they signed off quick.

Cruelty-Free Kitty

Unfortunately Wet n Wild is no longer cruelty-free and they're still trying to mislead us.

Last night, they finally released a statement. They admitted to selling in mainland China and having expanded to 30 Watsons stores in 2018.

I was told that they were initially deleting comments on their account. They also refused to address the issue after receiving a massive number of complaints.

Their statement claims that they're bypassing the animal testing laws in China, which is only partly true.

Read the full post here: http://bit.ly/2wccBGV

It’s true that pre-market animal testing is no longer required in China since 2014, but post-market animal testing can still be used.

Any company who sells cosmetics in stores in mainland China takes the risk of having their products tested on animals. I have many articles about this topic on my website.

I also want to thank everyone who shared this upsetting news. I only want to support brands who are TRULY cruelty-free and I know many of you agree. Let’s not allow companies to mislead us with false cruelty-free claims.
