I remember when I first learned cosmetic tattooing and my tutor told me ‘don’t worry about your speed, you will get faster’. Well over a decade later, I’m not faster and I don’t want to be. My brain doesn’t work well with a tight deadline. I like thorough consultations, I like taking the time to make sure everything is as close to perfection as I can get, I like to assess and think, I don’t like the feeling of keeping the next client waiting. I love having all the time I need and more. This is also why I learned to zone out the buzzer to the studio. If you come early and start buzzing the buzzer, you might frustrate the client in front of me, but I have taught my brain to not see the buzzer as ‘urgent’ this is so I can always keep my focus on the client in front of me at all times. Permanent makeup is not an appointment you want to rush through! Come ready to relax.

A lovely example of how much softer the brow will go upon healing, and the colour will lighten. We went over more hairstrokes and deepened the colour but it was a gorgeous healed result even after one.
