Hi girls,

I would like to let you know that the Saloon is shutting down.

Due to having a full time job is difficult to do both at the same time.

Thanks for your support. :)

Benefits of hard wax at the sensitive area!
"
Benefits of hard wax: because hard wax is thicker than other waxes it able to get a better grasp on the hair therefore needing fewer strips then with other waxes used. Hard wax is heated at a lower temperature than other waxes making the process safer and more comfortable for the client. Hard wax also will not adhere to the skin but only to the hair lessening the pain for the client and avoids tearing of the skin. My favorite benefit of hard wax is being able to wax over the skin as Many times as needed, with the strips the esthetician is only allowed to wax over an area one time therefor leaving some hair behind is common. All in all hard wax is cleaner, safer, and more comfortable for the client, leaving them happy and hairless!!!"

After care advice.

"Please follow the guidelines below to ensure your skin is cared for properly over the next few days.

Please note: some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over the next 24-48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24-48 hours. This means:

No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only).

No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments.

No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans).

No sport, gym work or other exercise.

Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands.

Wear clean, loose fitting clothes.

Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.

Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other

products to the area, other than those recommended by your therapist.

To soothe and protect the skin, apply an antiseptic cream to the waxed

area regularly for 3 days following your treatment. Always wash your hands before applying any product.

To prevent ingrown hairs: starting a few days after your appointment, gently scrub the skin 3 times a week in the bath or shower using a loofah or exfoliating mitt. Also moisturise the area every day, which will keep the skin supple and help new hairs to grow through normally.

You may notice a small amount of regrowth after a week or so. It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results. Hair needs to be at least 1⁄2 cm long before it can be successfully removed by waxing; please do not shave between your appointments. To maintain your smooth appearance, we recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks. “

"Question: What's the difference between a Brazilian and Hollywood wax?

Answer: The terms have been used interchangeably, but there are differences. Brazilian waxes often leave a small strip, triangle or oval shape piece of hair in the front, while taking all the hair in between all the way to the back by your bum. Waxing Hollywood style removes all of the hair, front all the way to the back."

"BEFORE YOU WAX.

Measure Up

The ideal length for hair is about 1/4 inch or 6 mm. But we don’t expect you to pull out the ruler, so we’ll gladly trim you up before your wax. And for all you shavers out there, make sure you come at least three weeks after using the razor! Otherwise the hair will be too short to get waxed.

Clean House

Take a warm shower before your appointment to help open the pores and put the loofah in play to help smooth skin and prevent ingrown hairs.

Go Au Natural

Skip the lotion, gels and oils pre-wax as it may interfere with hair removal. The same goes for tanning 24 hours before – best to avoid as it may up the ouch-factor.

Be Proactive

While we aim to invoke more of an ”aw” than “ow” experience, some clients prefer to pop an aspirin or use a numbing cream about 30 minutes before their wax to help minimize involuntary yips and yelps.

Body Scan

Give yourself a once over before you book to ensure your skin is free from cuts, scrapes, moles, skin tags and cold sores. Trust us, it’s better than finding out the hard way."
