Hi all my wonderful friends and followers
for those who may be discovering The Drawing Room more recently, I thought I’d share a little of its story.

I created this space 7 years ago as a natural next step after closing my salon of 11 years. The concept, name, branding, and design were all originally created by myself—carefully considered to create something truly special for my wonderfully loyal clients.

I knew that moving away from a traditional salon, I wanted to offer a more personal and refined experience—and that is how Kim at The Drawing Room was born.

Designed as a private drawing room, this is a calm, one-to-one environment offering a more considered alternative to the pace of a busy salon.

With over 30 years of experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and care to every appointment. I work with a carefully selected range of premium products including L’Oréal, Kérastase, Wella and Olaplex, ensuring each client receives the highest standard of treatment tailored to their individual needs.

I work four days a week by design, allowing me to give each guest my full attention without compromise. Appointments are intentionally unrushed, with time for detail and consultation, alongside express options for those who may be short on time.

Everything about The Drawing Room has been thoughtfully created to offer a professional, elevated experience—one built on trust, consistency, and genuine client relationships.

Good morning everyone, I am back to work this week after an extended break .
I didn’t manage to reply to all of the messages received before my holiday so please nudge me if you have not received a response.
I am still navigating my way through a lot of grief and become overwhelmed a lot easier than before. I know you all understand that but I just wanted to say thank you so much for your patience always .

It was a total privilege and the highlight of my hairdressing career to have worked alongside Charlie in Stafford Street at the very beginning of my hairdressing career in the early 1990s
I will always cherish all I learned and the opportunities I was given to work alongside and observe a true professional at his craft . I have carried those skills with me throughout my hairdressing career and for that I am eternally grateful.

You are brilliant and I appreciate each and everyone of you more than you know .Especially the support you have given me over the last 2 years which as you know have been extremely difficult for me and my family after loosing my mum so unexpectedly at Christmas time.

This year has brought many highs and lows to us all we have laughed a lot we have cried a lot but one thing remains the same you come into a safe space and you leave hopefully feeling more uplifted and with great hair .
