We’re delighted to welcome Rachel O’Neill to the Angus Gordon Hairdressing team in Musselburgh. Many of you will know Rachel from our fabulous Frederick Street salon, where she built a fantastic reputation as an exceptional hairdresser.

Rachel joining the team also means we’re now opening our Musselburgh salon on Mondays, giving our clients even more opportunities to book in and enjoy the Angus Gordon experience.

Rachel will be working in the Musselburgh salon every Monday and Tuesday, and we’re so excited for our clients to experience her amazing work.

To celebrate Rachel joining us, she’ll also be offering discounted prices for your first and second appointments 🫶🏼

After 50 incredible years, our Frederick Street salon will close its doors for the final time on 31st January, marking the end of a truly iconic chapter in our story.

As we move forward, we’re delighted to share that Marc will now be taking ownership of the business across both our Musselburgh and Blackhall salons, leading the brand into its next chapter.

We’re proud to confirm that our legendary co-founder, Angus Johnston will continue to work with the brand across both salons. Angus will be working in Musselburgh on Mondays and Thursdays, and in Blackhall on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Rachel O’Neill, formerly of our Frederick Street salon, will now be working across both Musselburgh and Blackhall. From Monday 9th February, our Musselburgh salon will also be open on Mondays, with Angus and Rachel both working on this day, offering even greater flexibility for our clients.

All of our other stylists remain with us across both salons, continuing to deliver the exceptional service you know and trust.

We are deeply saddened to share that Gordon Black, co-founder of Angus Gordon Hairdressing, passed away this week.

Gordon’s incredible talent, dedication, drive, loyalty and honesty touched so many clients, colleagues and staff.
As one of the owners of multiple salons across the East of Scotland for many years, his hard work, determination and vision made a lasting impact on both our company and the wider hairdressing industry. He was greatly admired and respected by everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

Our heartfelt thoughts are with Gordon’s wife and family at this difficult time. We are so grateful for his guidance, support and inspiration over so many years — he will be truly missed by everyone at Angus Gordon Hairdressing.

All clients and friends are welcome to attend the funeral, which will be held on Wednesday 12th November at 10am at Warriston Crematorium.
