Honestly, where has that time gone?! It feels mad to be celebrating 7 whole years of Substance.

What started as a small idea has grown into something I’m unbelievably proud of, and that’s completely down to the incredible people who’ve been part of the journey. 🥹

To every client who’s supported us, recommended us, laughed with us and kept coming back over the years, thank you. You’ve helped turn the shop into more than just a barbershop. 🫶🏻

At the end of this month we’ll be saying a sad goodbye to our barber of almost 5 years as he heads off to open his very own barbershop in St Andrews. ✂️

Many of Stu’s clients will know he’s been commuting over an hour each way to work, all while rushing home to spend time with his little boy. That dedication has inspired him to take the leap and open a shop closer to home and we couldn’t be happier for him.🎉
•
His new shop, , is sure to be an incredible addition to St Andrews, and we have no doubt he’ll make it a huge success.🏆
•
To all of Stu’s clients, we hope you’ll continue to visit us here at Substance Barbershop. The team will do everything we can to make sure you’re always well looked after. ✂️

Stu’s last day with us will be March 27th, so make sure to book in before then if you’d like to see him one last time. 🗓️

It’s been an absolute pleasure working alongside you for the past five years. You’ll be hugely missed by the team and by so many clients, but we’re incredibly proud to see you take this next step.

✈️ And he’s off! ✈️

Today marks final day with us before he sets off on his travels. We wish him an incredible journey and hope he has the best time while staying safe along the way. 🫶🏻

Troy will be returning for one week in June to catch up with everyone and will be available for haircuts before heading off on his next adventure. We’re looking forward to seeing all his photos and hearing the stories from his travels.

As many of you already know, is heading off on his travelling adventure on 14th March kicking things off with two months in China 🇨🇳

He’s hoping to pop back to Scotland for a few weeks over the summer, and when he does, he’ll be opening up some limited spaces to catch up with you all. Keep an eye on our socials for the dates 👀

After that, it’s back on the road until he decides it’s time to come home! We couldn’t be more excited to follow his journey and can’t wait to hear all about his adventures. Wishing him the most incredible time 🌏
