Hi everyone,

This is my friend Emma. We went to the same secondary school, though we didn’t really become friends until we quite literally bumped into each other at work back in 2007/2008. Emma’s eldest daughter is the same age and at the same school as my youngest niece, so she has become a friend of our family.

Back in 2023 Emma received the devastating news that she had breast cancer with the BRCA2 gene. After bravely undergoing chemotherapy, a double mastectomy and the removal of her ovaries, Emma rung the bell and thought that the horrible journey was over.

Sadly she has now received the even more devastating news that she has Stage 4 metastatic cancer which has spread. I am beyond heartbroken for her and her family. She has 2 beautiful little girls and a husband who need more time with her.

Her friends have set up a Go Fund me to help fund her treatment to give her more time with her family.

As if she wasn’t brave enough she is also running the London Marathon! I am in absolute awe of her.
