I know posts about cancellations and no-shows can feel repetitive, but I promise they’re nowhere near as frustrating as the loss of income to a small business.

If you’re unable to make your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. I completely understand that life happens and unexpected things come up, but as a self-employed stylist this is my only source of income, and last-minute cancellations often mean I’m unable to fill that appointment.

Just as a reminder, my cancellation policy is:

• 48+ hours notice – no charge
• 24 hours notice – 50% of the appointment cost will be required
• Less than 24 hours or missed appointments (no-shows) – 100% of the appointment cost will be required before any future appointments can be booked.

This week alone i’ve lost about £300 in profit due to missed appointments and late cancellations. I’m not a large company that can brush off this loss, every appointment helps cover not only my wages, but also the many costs of running my business each month.

To all of my wonderful regular clients who turn up, support me, recommend me, and keep me busy – thank you so much. Your loyalty and support genuinely mean the world to me, and it never goes unnoticed 🤍

As I am self-employed, I manage my own appointments and diary independently and therefore do not answer or take calls via the James Cameron Hairdressing phone.

As we all run separate businesses within the salon, there may not always be someone available to answer the main salon phone.
