My client wanted to go darker but didn’t want to lose all of her blonde

There are plenty of things I wish someone would’ve told me at the beginning of my self-employed career..
These are just a handful of them, but they’re the ones I think matter most..
Because when you’re new to the industry and working for yourself, you’re not just learning hair, you’re learning how to build a career and a business that actually feels sustainable..

How long it takes you to do a consultation DOESN’T MATTER..
Don’t get me wrong, more often than not, it takes me 5 minutes but if I need to take 50, I will..
That doesn’t make me a s**t hairdresser
It makes me feel thorough and more confident..
It’s learning to be transparent with clients and being comfortable enough to say “sorry, I’m not 100% sure I understand what you’re wanting”
They would much prefer that than know you’re internally panicking
So speak up, don’t be worried and don’t rush..
At the end of the day, it’s just a conversation, it’s not that deep😉
