Well… this happened too! 🤯✨

After sharing the incredible news that I’d won Beautician of the Year at the North England Prestige Awards, I wasn’t sure whether to post this…

But on the very same day, I also found out I’d been selected as a Finalist for Female Entrepreneur of the Year at the Official UK Small Business Awards 2026. 🏆

Whether I go on to win or not, just being recognised once again for my hard work, dedication and passion for my business is something I’m incredibly proud of.

To be acknowledged alongside so many inspiring businesses is an achievement in itself, and one I’ll never take for granted.

Running a small business isn’t always easy. Behind every appointment are long days, late nights, continued learning, self-doubt, sacrifices and a whole lot of passion. Moments like these remind me why I keep showing up every single day.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me, trust me and believe in my little business. Every booking, recommendation, like, comment and share has played a part in this journey, and I’m so grateful for every single one of you. 🤍

I genuinely don’t know where to begin…

To be approached by The Prestige Awards themselves and asked if I would accept a nomination was something I never imagined. To then be announced as the North England Prestige Awards 2026/27 Winner is an honour I still can’t quite believe.

This award means so much because it represents so much more than beautiful nails or beauty treatments. It represents years of hard work, determination, sacrifices, resilience and a dream that I never gave up on.

I started this journey studying, training and learning everything I could to pursue a career I was truly passionate about. At the time, I was a single mum of two young children, juggling two jobs whilst trying to build a future for us. It wasn’t easy, but I kept showing up and believing that one day all the hard work would pay off.

💘 💘Over the years I’ve experienced the highs, the lows and everything in between. I’ve had the privilege of running my own salon, met some incredible clients who have become such a huge part of my journey, and built relationships that I’ll always be grateful for - this one’s for you! 💘💘

Life has changed in so many ways since then. Our family has grown, and I’m now a proud mum of five in our beautifully blended family. I’ve navigated pregnancy, maternity leave and the uncertainty that comes with pressing pause on a business you’ve worked so hard to build.

Being surrounded by hardworking, supportive and inspirational women who continue to encourage me to grow, learn and become the best version of myself every day makes me feel secure, settled and content.

One thing this industry has taught me is that you never stop learning. Every course, every client, every challenge and every experience has helped shape the nail technician and beauty therapist I am today.

This award isn’t just for me. It’s for every client who has trusted me, supported my small business, recommended me to family and friends, celebrated my wins and stood by me throughout this journey. I honestly couldn’t have done it without you.
