Jo understood exactly what I needed with regard to my blow-dry and did it beautifully. Everyone was very kind helping me with getting out and getting back into my wheelchair. The lovely young girl with long blonde hair who washed my hair (Ruby I think?) was deceptively strong when heaving me up 😃 So thank you! I'll be back next week 😀

Exciting news, Charter family!

After 18 wonderful years in the salon, our very own Danielle is now the proud owner of Charter Cutting. ✂️✨

Saying goodbye to David and Debbie as they retired was never going to be easy, but who better to continue their legacy than someone who truly knows and loves this salon? 💛

Rest assured, the heart of Charter remains the same, and your favourite stylists are still here, looking after our lovely Emsworth community - just like always.

We have some exciting transformations on the horizon, (so watch this space!) but for now, let’s raise a toast to Danielle and this new chapter. 🥂💇‍♀️

A final fond farewell on this our last day. Thank you to everyone for their kind messages and gifts. Also to the many people who came into say goodbye, some traveling great distance, it has been truly appreciated. It has been a privilege to have had a business in Emsworth for forty years and to have made so many friends.

A Fond Farewell After 40 Wonderful Years

Dear Clients & Friends,

Forty years ago, we started this journey with a vision: to open a salon that wasn’t just a business but a brand that reflected who we are and the values we hold dear. Together, we built that dream into a reality - one full of dedication, achievements, and countless cherished memories.

Now, after four incredible decades, it’s time for us to take a step back and embrace a new chapter in our lives. We’ve made the heartfelt decision to retire from salon life and pass the keys of Charter Cutting Company to capable and passionate hands prepared to guide it into the future.

Over the years, we’ve been privileged to form lasting friendships with so many of you - our wonderful clients. Our staff, previous and current, have also been like family, and it’s been an honour to train so many young professionals and contribute to the future of our industry. We’ve also been proud to support meaningful causes including The Rowans Hospice, Breast Cancer Care, and Ovarian Cancer Action, raising thousands of pounds together. Our hearts are full when we think of the community we’ve been part of, the awards we’ve earned, and, most importantly, the incredible team we’ve built.

As we step away, we are comforted knowing the salon will continue to thrive under the capable leadership of Danielle and her husband, Joe. Danielle, as many of you know, has been an integral part of the team for 18 years and understands the heart and soul of what makes this salon special. We are confident they will carry Charter Cutting Company forward with passion and dedication, and we wish them every success.

Our last week in the salon will be week ending Saturday 15th February , and while it’s hard to say goodbye, we do so with immense gratitude and hope to see many of you in our final days in Emsworth. Thank you for your unwavering support, kindness, and friendship over the last forty years.
