I remember talking to other mums and how stubborn they found the cradle cap on their little ones. The secret is not a medicated shampoo.

It is not contagious, nor is it caused by poor hygiene or allergies. Residual maternal hormones can overstimulate the baby’s oil-producing sebaceous glands. An overgrowth or sensitivity to a normal skin yeast called Malassezia living in the oil.

💛 Apply an oil to the scalp about 10 minutes before bath time - our Baby Massage Oil would work for this if you have it on hand and allow it to soak in.

💛 Wash with a mild fragrance free Shampoo - again our Baby Shampoo & Body Wash would be perfect.

💛 Brush your baby’s hair using a soft bristle baby brush to help loosen flakes.

You might not get it all on the first go, but you can repeat the process.

Two things to remember do NOT pick the flakes, and the second baby’s skin is very delicate and should not be bathed daily.

Hopefully we aren’t offending any die hard party night fans! 😅

It’s funny how you don’t sell something for months and then a few weeks into the new school year and everyone wants to restock their hand sanitiser!

The shelf is looking bare but never worry I’m pretty sure I’ve more made up at home and can restock it tomorrow!

Sometimes we aren’t as close geographically as we might wish, or life simply gets in the way.

I like to think that each time they light their candle, they’ll be reminded of your gesture, a little hug from you, even when you can’t be there to give them one yourself. 💜
