“Can you just fill my marionette lines?”

This lovely client came to me concerned about the lines and shadows around her lower face.

But simply filling the line isn’t always the answer.

Following a full facial assessment, we used just 3ml of dermal filler strategically across different areas of the face — adding support higher up, replacing volume through the mid-cheek where she had hollowed, and treating the shadowing through the chin/lower face.

The aim wasn’t to change her face or remove every line. It was to restore some of the support and volume she had lost and create a softer, fresher, more balanced result.

This is something I’m seeing more frequently in clients who have been on a significant weight-loss journey. While losing weight can be fantastic for your health and confidence, we can also lose facial fat and volume along the way.

For me, good filler treatment is about assessing the whole face, not simply injecting the line that bothers you.
