Toning masks are honestly one of my favourite little “in-between appointments” tricks ✨

I often recommend them to my clients not only to maintain the colour longer, but also to play a little with different tones at home.
Sometimes you want your blonde cooler. Sometimes softer, creamier, more beige, more golden or richer.

And suddenly… same hair, but different mood. Different energy. Different “me”. 👀

A good toning mask can bring back that fresh salon feeling between appointments:
• more shine
• refreshed tone
• more expensive-looking colour
• healthier-looking ends

What many people do not realise is that toning masks are not just “purple masks”.
Most of them are also conditioning masks, meaning they help soften and nourish the hair while depositing pigment.

BUT… there is also a small catch 👀

Too much of a good thing can become a problem.
Toning masks can create build-up over time, especially on porous blondes. Hair can start looking dull, muddy, over-pigmented or uneven if they are overused or left on too long.

That is why correct tone + correct timing matters a lot more than people think.
