I started Tappermade when I was unhappy. I really needed to change what I was doing. I missed making things so much!

I'm grateful that I had the opportunity and time to figure out that THIS is what I should be doing. I needed peace and quiet and I know that's not available to everyone.

After a few months I had carved a teeny tiny path towards what Tappermade has become now. I dreamed of having my own studio, of having regular customers, more time with my children, and being able to make what I want. Here I am.

It's not all sunshine and rainbows and if you want I can do a list of things that suck about running a small business. But today, I choose to focus on the pros.
