Bailey & Alice are in town as “Queeraspondents” for the Women’s Rugby World Cup, doing brilliant work for q***r representation in the sport. HELLO ADAM! ⭐️ Joining Roots from 10th Feb! After 10 years as a barber, Adam’s favourite part of the job is connecting with the community. He loves the challenge of creative cuts, from mullets to mods and all the vintage classics. Thanks to his extensive travels, he brings a range of cutting experience from working across Europe and America, as well as top notch customer service and French fluency! ADVENTURE TIME ✈️ Bon bleddy voyage to this stone cold legend! Not only did Liv recently bid farewell to her roaring 20s (HBD 🎂) she’s now saying cheerio to Exeter for a while, as she embarks on a trip of a lifetime to India! We’ll miss her laughs, life advice (get your ears syringed, thank Liv later), and her fascination with niche condiments . She’ll be back in December and we can’t wait to hear all about what her and Jess get up to. Have an amazing time you two! 💛

It’s Harley! 🤩 Now part of the Roots team and we can’t wait for you to meet him. Dad of one, soon to be two mini humans, Harley chose barbering to express his creativity and connect with others. He’s got a yearning for learning and left us mega impressed after his stint at the unofficial Roots Barber Academy (aka being bossed around by PJ 😂). When you’re in his chair, expect chat about ancient history, travel (ask him about Zion National Park), aliens, wild conspiracies and his growing obsession with 🥪

Harley’s got a truck load of enthusiasm and an infectious posi attitude and we know you’re gonna love him.

PRICING UPDATE • Hey folks! It’s been a while since we delivered the goods for the ‘gram! Sorry for our absence, but you know us and technology – we needed a lie down after that one Reel we posted 4 months ago 😂

We wanted to let you know that our prices will be increasing. The adjustments will allow us to secure our future, improve the Roots experience you know and love, and invest in our team’s skills and wellbeing.

New prices will take effect from Monday 17 April. Bookings made before this date will be honoured at current prices. 

We know you’ve been hearing this news a lot from your fave indie businesses, and we’re all so grateful for your support. We want to be here for as long as possible and every precious pound spent or kind word, keeps our community going! Thank you so much x

PRICING UPDATE • Honesty is the best policy, my beauts. And that’s why we’re letting you know that from 11th April, we’ll introduce a small price increase at Roots. As you probs know, running costs have risen as well as expenses like getting hold of the top quality products we use on your precious noggins.

The price change will also help secure the future of Roots after a wrinkle-inducing two years (blimey folks, don’t forget to moisturise). This includes continuing to invest in our team’s wellbeing and educational development, ensuring that we always offer you an outstanding service.

We haven’t made this decision lightly and accessibility is extremely important to us. If our services become out of reach for you, please contact us! Email, call, message or pop in and we can discuss options 💛

Folks, what can we say? It’s not the December many of us were hoping for and if you’re struggling right now, we hope these faces give you a chuckle (especially the grumpy elf in the corner)!

2021 wasn’t quite the field of unicorns we expected, but we’re so thankful to you all for getting us here 💛

To our team - Liv & Jake - you’ve done yourselves proud again with exceptional work and determination, even when things felt rougher than Lottie’s farts 🐕💨

However you spend the coming days, we hope it’s restful. As of 12pm today, we’re off to get some beauty sleep but we’ll be back on the 29th. Our festive opening times are on the googles, and you can book online for Twixmas and January via the link in our bio.
