Today was truly an amazing day considering why I was in the shop. The volume of people who came to say how sad it was that OUR Shauney would no longer be there was heartwarming. The stories told were so personal yet very familiar.

Massive thank you to Lorraine Dallmeier who was the only one to attend the shop to simply help. Her sheer determination was admirable (you know Lorraine)

I still need help if you want to offer any by simply removing bags of rubbish where I’ll be back again for the final time on Monday 11/05 from approximately 10am. There is also still some large items that are available for free with a voluntary contribution should you wish. These include a 2 seater sofa, single matching chair. Wooden 2 seater and table garden set, shelving blah blah.

There is also a note in the window for Shaun’s send off……..

Friday 29/05 at Ogwell Chapel at 11am is the funeral
12pm - 4pm at the Jolly Farmer will be the wake.

Good afternoon all. You may remember that I used to work with Shauney Boy at the MODs a few years back.

As most know Shaun sadly passed and rode his Northern Soul on a mirror cladded Vespa up the highest Quadrophenia blasting out some Richard Ashcroft.

I have been in constant contact with his immediate family and offered my assistance in helping them out with getting the shop cleared. With this in mind I’m asking for some assistance from the people who Shaun spoke volumes to, his friends, his clients and basically anyone walking past the vibrant glass fronted shop which was more personality than shop. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated, literally any, tip runs, a bag of rubbish to your own bin, a rag and polish literally anything.

Anything large that none of us can easily move will be offered on a first come first serve basis free of charge which also constitutes as assistance. All I ask is that if you can afford to leave a contribution towards sending our mate off, that would be greatly appreciated. Anything you can offer please just hand to myself (NO ONE ELSE) and I will 100% make sure it goes where it belongs.

This doesn’t apply to any barber equipment or his beloved bespoke paintings.

The date the assistance is required will be Friday 08/05/2026 from approximately 0900. I will also extend any collections for larger items to Monday 11/05/2026 from approximately 10:00. I will add items to this page asap as to what is too large.
