It’s all very vague but it’s Christmas and new year and we don’t want to commit to a lot as we have done all this past year!!

There’s a few I know use Guildhall car park ⬇️

Important Car Park Update 🚨

Please note that the Guildhall Shopping Centre car park will be closed from 17th–21st November 2025 while Exeter City Council installs brand new parking equipment 🚗

The existing pay machines and barrier system are being replaced with ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology — meaning no more tokens or tickets!

The upgraded system will make parking simpler and quicker, with easy card and cash payment options and a smoother exit experience.

Please remember, the car park is run and maintained by Exeter City Council, not Guildhall Shopping Exeter — but we’re excited to see these improvements make your future visits even easier!

Thank you for your understanding and patience while the works take place.

Sustainablity

When I was setting up the studio I researched a lot.
A huge importance for me was how sustainable can I be?
I wanted the salon to be natural.

•Natural lighting.
having a shop window that gets the daylight worked in my favour, all important for hair colouring as you see the true colour.
Mirrors play a big part in bouncing light and I’m fortunate to have mirrors on one wall.

•LED lighting,
for when the daylight isn’t so good. No more replacing bulbs frequently
•Wood.
Wood is natural and calming. Making a relaxed atmosphere

•Eco Shower head.
This allows less water consumption and reduces frizz, antibacterial stones, double pressure water jets to relax and promote blood flow to the scalp.
•Sustainable products
Using products that are
-PCRP( post consumer recycled plastic )
-Sugarcane ()
-Recycled material ()

•Towels
I use micro fibre towels ( quick to dry) and bamboo fibre towels.
This reduces washing and the eco towels are biodegradable, all clients can take these bamboo towels away with them, to reuse, or repurpose. I know some have used to make Halloween outfits for dolls, and line flower baskets with!

•Paint
I use coat paint
Peel and stick samples, 95% less waste. Water based high quality low toxin, 1 coat coverage. No wasted paint.
•Plants
I may be known to be the plant murderer but I do strive to keep alive some plants, this promotes oxygen and calming affect to studio

•Green Salon Collective
Partnering with green salon collective, we recycle your hair to make hair booms, drain cover, nutrition for pot plants, add to food production and always finding other ways to reuse

• Appointment System
By using this appointment system, I can reduce the use of paper, sending out appointment reminders and booking
confirmation

•Toilet paper
As well as reducing the paper consumption I use toilet paper, made from recycled paper and 50%of profits go to charity- building toilets for clean sanitation around the world

Introducing Claire Asprey Curl Specialist

Claire A has recently returned back from Canada after 30 years of hairdressing and Director of Education with Aveda institute Canada
I have dedicated my career to perfecting the art of hairstyling, with a strong focus on curly hair. As someone with naturally curly hair who once struggled to manage it, I have turned my personal journey into a professional mission - helping clients embrace their natural texture with confidence.

Today, I specialise in working with all types of curls, customising cuts and styles to enhance each client’s unique style and face shape. My approach is not just about great results in the salon—it’s about empowering clients with the knowledge and techniques to maintain their curls effortlessly every day.

In addition to my salon work, I serve as an Educational Consultant, developing training programs for salons and schools in Canada, the UK, and the USA. I am passionate about elevating the industry and mentoring the next generation of hairstylists.

Claire Asprey curl specialist will work along side Claire, the curl consultant and is ready to accept clients from 8th April.

Anyone on Claire’s waiting list have had an email with the news and can book with Claire Asprey.

Online booking is now open with Claire A.
