What a fantastic day celebrating our incredible students at the HATA Prom!
With a tropical Tiki Bar-themed mocktail party, bingo, quizzes, laughter, music and taking the opportunity to present more awards to our learners, it was the perfect way to recognise the hard work, resilience and achievements of every student.
We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished this year. It has been wonderful to see lifelong friendships forged, confidence grow and futures transformed.

A very informative and extremely positive meeting today with Gareth Penn, Registrar and Chief Executive of the Hair & Barber Council.
It was inspiring to spend time discussing the future of our profession and the opportunities we have to make a real difference to the lives of young people.
Gareth’s passion for the hair and barbering industry is clear to see, and we had a constructive discussion about the potential for a National Hair & Barber NEET Programme—bringing together industry, education, employers and strategic partners to help more young people who are not in education, employment or training access meaningful careers.
At Hair in the Community CIC, we believe our profession has the power to change lives, build confidence and create lasting employment opportunities. Today’s meeting was an encouraging step towards exploring how that vision could be developed on a national scale.
Thank you, Gareth, for your time, your enthusiasm and your commitment to supporting the future of our industry. I look forward to continuing the conversation.

Today I had the privilege of attending the launch of the Jobs Foundation’s new report, “Jobs and Education: Building the Bridge to Opportunity,” in London.
It was inspiring to hear from leaders across education, business and government, all united by one goal: ensuring more young people can successfully move from education into meaningful employment. The report highlights the importance of character, opportunity and strong partnerships in tackling the growing challenge of young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET).
Thank you to the Jobs Foundation for bringing together so many passionate people committed to creating better opportunities for the next generation. I look forward to continuing to play my part in building that bridge from education to employment as a member of the jobs Foundation South West steering committee
A compliment to the day was to finish with a superb meal
