Two of our talented learners took on the challenge, picked up the techniques so quickly, and completed this beautiful look in fantastic time!

The talent growing here at Hair at the Academy is incredible, and we couldn’t be prouder of the passion, confidence, and skill they show every day. 🌟

We had an incredibly informative training day with
Will Houghton, Senior Partner at Houghton Training Associates.

As a 52-week provision, we are committed to always updating our skills to ensure we provide the very best support.

The session covered vital areas including:
• Abuse and trauma, including PTSD and long-term impact
• Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their effect on development
• Vulnerabilities such as learning disabilities, addiction, and exploitation
• Mental health, including low self-esteem and suicidal thoughts
• The influence of social media, gaming, and online environments
• The impact of being in care, multiple carers, and life changes
• Building understanding around trust, relationships, and safeguarding

A powerful and thought-provoking day that strengthens our knowledge and reinforces our commitment to those we support.

As we break up for Easter, we couldn’t be prouder of our students and everything they have achieved this term

The progress has been fantastic — skills are developing every single day, confidence is growing, and the commitment shown has been outstanding.

A special well done to those who have completed their Maths and English exams — a huge milestone and a testament to your hard work and determination.

We are seeing our young people grow, not just in skill, but in character — learning to listen, communicate, and prepare themselves for the world of work.

Hair in the Community to continue our work with free haircuts for people challenged with homelessness
