Lucy Summers - Body Piercer

Gonna be a pure downer this one, sorry everyone 😅
I've thought about how to announce this and I think ripping off the plaster and full transparency is the way to go.
Today I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This is totally out of left field and was not on my 2026 bingo card 🙃
I have very limited information at this point. I have been told to expect both chemo and surgery, but we won't know the extent of either until further test results come back and I've had an appointment with a consultant.
I'm sharing this with you all because as expected my availability is going to look very different.
Immediately, I won't be in tomorrow or early next week. I will likely be back later next week but this is subject to change.
Going forward, I will only be in the studio part time, and won't be running the Saturday walk in sessions. I'll still be working Saturdays when I can but they will be by appointment only so I can pace myself.
Once I have my treatment plan I can announce further changes, but for now I think this system will work the best.
The reception team will keep booked clients informed as promptly as possible when schedule changes need to come up and I'll thank everyone in advance now for their patience and understanding. Similarly I'd like to ask that all correspondence goes through the studio so I can rest when I'm not in work. This does mean reply times for questions that need to be answered by me will be slower than usual.
I do want to reassure everyone that if I don't feel fit to work, I won't. This is both for my own welfare and yours. I've always been passionate about giving my clients the safest experience I can and that hasn't changed.
Please remember I'm still just me, your friendly neighbourhood piercer, and I'm grateful I can still find joy doing what I love for all of you 🫶
