Linsey came to see me on my very first day back last week, and what a vision she was 🙌

Hello everyone 😌

The updates:

✨️We are almost one month into chemo
✨️It's absolute arse
✨️F**k cancer 😂

The plan:

Use the information gathered so far to schedule the best days for me to come into the studio during the remainder of my treatments.
I'm on a dose dense schedule (chemo every 2 weeks instead of every 3 weeks). I'm happy about this as it will be finished more quickly, but it does mean I get less 'good days' within a cycle. I think I'll realistically be able to work 2 or 3 days out of every fortnight. This will be for at least the rest of 2026.

That means my studio time still WILL NOT look how it usually does. Due to how compressed my hours and how slow my pace will be, there will continue to be no walk-in services.
Priority will be given to those on the waiting list and checks ups. The ONLY way to be seen will be by appointment arranged through 𝚃𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚘𝚘𝚜 | 𝙿𝚒𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 | 𝙹𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚛𝚢 | 𝙵𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚒𝚛𝚔.
I will not be advertising the days I'm in the studio. As well meaning as it is, I cannot accommodate people just popping in. Days may also be subject to change at short notice anyway. You must book in through the studio even if its 'just for something quick'. (not through me please, I'm still getting an awful lot of messages asking about general enquiries). Again, to get your appointment started, speak to 𝚃𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚘𝚘𝚜 | 𝙿𝚒𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 | 𝙹𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚛𝚢 | 𝙵𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚒𝚛𝚔.

Unfortunately I will also have to limit certain services due to my own immune system and energy levels being heavily compromised. The main one being kids lobe piercings. I am upset about this as I love offering a safe service for your little ones, but unfortunately kids are known germ factories! They also take up a lot of extra mental bandwidth which I just don't have at the moment.
I will be wearing a face mask and will ask you to do the same. These will be provided by the studio.
PLEASE dont come to your appointment if you're unwell or have been exposed to someone unwell in the days prior. Simply message the studio to reschedule. I cannot understate how important this is. What's just winter lurgy to you will land me in A&E at the moment.

Gonna be a pure downer this one, sorry everyone 😅
I've thought about how to announce this and I think ripping off the plaster and full transparency is the way to go.
Today I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This is totally out of left field and was not on my 2026 bingo card 🙃
I have very limited information at this point. I have been told to expect both chemo and surgery, but we won't know the extent of either until further test results come back and I've had an appointment with a consultant.
I'm sharing this with you all because as expected my availability is going to look very different.
Immediately, I won't be in tomorrow or early next week. I will likely be back later next week but this is subject to change.
Going forward, I will only be in the studio part time, and won't be running the Saturday walk in sessions. I'll still be working Saturdays when I can but they will be by appointment only so I can pace myself.
Once I have my treatment plan I can announce further changes, but for now I think this system will work the best.
The reception team will keep booked clients informed as promptly as possible when schedule changes need to come up and I'll thank everyone in advance now for their patience and understanding. Similarly I'd like to ask that all correspondence goes through the studio so I can rest when I'm not in work. This does mean reply times for questions that need to be answered by me will be slower than usual.
I do want to reassure everyone that if I don't feel fit to work, I won't. This is both for my own welfare and yours. I've always been passionate about giving my clients the safest experience I can and that hasn't changed.
Please remember I'm still just me, your friendly neighbourhood piercer, and I'm grateful I can still find joy doing what I love for all of you 🫶
