Welcome to the brand new courts in Falmouth
We had so much fun having a knockabout at their opening although we definitely need to get our skills up - bouncing off walls behind you is so confusing!
Such a brilliant new addition to Falmouth and very excited to have this right on our doorstep. Thanks for having us - we’ll be back for a match soon!
Perched above Porthmeor Beach in St Ives, Cornwall, our new sauna pavilion takes its cues from Japanese tea houses and courtyard gardens, with a little Roman ingenuity thrown in too - harvesting rainwater from the roofs and capturing water from the cold plunges and showers, which is treated and then reused to irrigate the surrounding gardens.
The pavilion and gardens have all been conceived, designed and built by our founders & in close collaboration with their friends at local metalwork & carpentry workshop .hands.ltd and garden designer
We feel immensely privileged to be in this extraordinary spot. A home could never have been built here, so having the opportunity to create a community space that improves wellbeing instead - somewhere we hope can become a kind of second home for everyone who visits us - it feels very special indeed.
Come say hello!

Witnessing the eclipse with lovely mates was even better than any of us could have expected 🌒✨
And as a bonus … I’d completely written off my attempt at a timelapse, assuming I’d somehow managed to film absolutely nothing.
Turns out I was just pointing the camera in the wrong direction for most of it and it did manage to catch the last few moments. A small triumph for wildly amateur eclipse photography!
Hope you all had a memorable eve!

World Breastfeeding Week 🤍
When we first opened Kiln, I’d often be found sitting on the floor in the corner of the sauna breastfeeding my son, Kaspar.
It was just … life. We all enjoyed the sauna together as a family in the most natural way imaginable and managed to keep him hydrated too. Then we’d head home and, without fail, he’d sleep like an absolute dream afterwards.
If you’d told my younger self that would one day be me, I wouldn’t have believed you.
I’d been tocophobic since I was a teenager. I never imagined I’d have children, let alone become a first mum at 43 after an unexpected pregnancy or someone who would then breastfeed her child until three and a half.
Breastfeeding and motherhood completely surprised me in every way. It became one of the greatest privileges I’ve ever experienced.
The year Kaspar was born, eleven friends were also lucky enough to have babies. I’ll never take that for granted, knowing that for many people, the journey to parenthood looks very different.
Overnight we found ourselves sharing advice, encouragement, tears, sleep deprivation and endless voice notes. There was a level of all-hours kinship I’d never experienced before.
It also made me realise how fortunate I was. While breastfeeding came relatively easily to me, I watched friends navigate tongue ties, pain, low supply, inverted ni***es, pumping, guilt and heartbreak. Every feeding journey is different, and every parent deserves support without judgement.
As time went on, I became completely comfortable feeding almost anywhere. Walking down the street. Around festivals. Touring Japan. Sitting on beaches. Standing in crowds watching gigs.
There was something incredibly liberating about knowing that wherever we were, everything my baby needed travelled with us. Our bodies really are extraordinary. And, as someone who’s pretty disorganised, not having to carry formula or sterilising equipment everywhere was an added bonus.
One evening, while breastfeeding at a gig at the Cornish Bank, a woman quietly handed me a card thanking me for breastfeeding in public and asking me to pass it on to the next mu
