Heatwave Makeup tips ☀️

When the weather is this hot, makeup longevity becomes all about the prep, the products used and how the skin is treated before and during wear.

Here are a few things you can do as my client to help your makeup last as long as possible in the heat 🤍

✨ Arrive with a clean face
✨ Avoid heavy skincare / facial oils before your appointment
✨ Try to cool down before makeup if you’ve been out in the heat (I do have a fan in my kit to help whilst I set up 🤍)
✨ Blot sweat instead of wiping your face
✨ Carry your lip product and powder for touch ups which I provide for you
✨ Avoid touching your face as much as possible throughout the day

And here’s what I’ll do as your makeup artist to help your makeup last:

🤍 Prep the skin based on your skin type and the weather
🤍 Use lightweight layers so the makeup sits better in the heat
🤍 Choose long-wearing, heat-friendly products
🤍 Set the areas that tend to break down first : especially the T-zone, around the nose and around the mouth
🤍 Layer products where needed for extra longevity
🤍 Finish everything off with setting products to help lock it all in place

My goal in this weather as always is makeup that still looks like skin, but lasts as beautifully as possible 🫶🏼
