🎀 BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎀

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a gentle reminder to take a few minutes to check yourself regularly. 💗

Knowing what is normal for your breasts can help you notice changes early. Breast cancer can affect anyone, and checking yourself is something we can all make part of our routine.

✨ Things to look and feel for:
• A new lump or swelling in your breast or armpit
• A change in the size or shape of your breast
• Changes to the skin, such as dimpling, puckering or an unusual texture
• A change in the appearance of the ni**le
• A ni**le becoming inverted when this is new for you
• Unusual discharge from the ni**le, particularly if blood-stained
• Persistent pain in your breast or armpit
• Any other change that is unusual for you

💕 Get to know your normal.
There isn’t one right way or time to check — what matters is becoming familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel.

If you notice a change that is new or unusual for you, don’t panic, but don’t ignore it either. Make an appointment with your GP and get it checked.

And remember, screening appointments are important too — make sure you attend when you’re invited.

Just had a wax? Your skin needs a little extra love while it settles. 🤍

🌿 Keep the area clean and gently moisturised
🚿 Avoid hot baths, showers, saunas & steam for 24 hours
🏋️ Avoid intense exercise and excessive sweating for 24 hours
👗 Wear loose, comfortable clothing to reduce friction
☀️ Avoid sun exposure and tanning
🧴 Avoid fragranced products and deodorants on the waxed area
✨ Wait 48 hours before gently exfoliating to help prevent ingrown hairs
🙌 Try not to touch, pick or scratch the area. Avoid using retinol and similar products before and after waxing. And I must know if you're taking any acne medication 💊.
