When an old colleague reached out to me to do her hair, I knew it was going to be an amazing appointment. It can be so hard when you’re in the industry to find someone you trust to do your hair. We overthink it, and sometimes find it hard to let ourselves be pampered when we’re usually the ones doing the pampering!

As she left, she said she was going to make a conscious effort to do this for herself again soon — and honestly, that was the best compliment, especially coming from someone else in the industry. 🥹🤍

Sometimes we all need to step away from behind the chair and remember how good it feels to be the client. ✨

Tracey walked in sat in my chair and said I have fallen out of love with my hair and don’t know what to do. Our hair journey over the years has been one of the best! Short, long, dark, blonde…so I knew she was an open book and just wanted to feel beautiful whatever it took! We had a really good chat and I got to work. The best bit….the next day I had a message to say she had fallen back in love with her hair.

I get asked all the time what my favourite thing is about hairdressing, it isn’t a particular style or colour it’s this…..your reaction. It’s you falling back in love with your hair, you walking out of the salon almost floating on air, generally feeling amazing about yourself and that you can conquer the world. It’s the feel good factor that your time with me creates and I wish I could bottle it to make everyone feel this special.
