Your mind doesn’t need to answer every fearful thought. 💭

Anxiety often pulls us into:
“What if…?”
“What’s wrong with me?”
“What if something bad happens?”

But sometimes the most calming question is:
“Do I actually need to engage with this thought right now?”

Not every thought is a problem to solve or fix.
Some thoughts are just noise from an overwhelmed nervous system.

You can notice them…
without following them. 💚

Things I hear a lot in therapy…
especially from people who feel anxious around others

“I feel like everyone is looking at me”
“I just know they’re judging me”

And it makes complete sense
because when anxiety shows up
it feels real

But often, what we gently uncover is this:
it’s not that everyone is focused on you

it’s that your mind has created a spotlight

when actually…
most people are walking around
focused on themselves

their own thoughts
their own worries
their own world

You’re not under as much of a spotlight as it feels.

Save this for when your mind starts telling you otherwise
or share with someone who might need it 💚

This… is why emotions can feel so overwhelming sometimes. 💭

It’s not just one feeling.
It’s layers… meanings… stories underneath.

At the centre — “The places we go when…”
And around it… all the different ways we experience being human.

As Brené Brown explores, when we can name our emotions, we begin to understand them — and they start to feel less intense, less all-consuming.

Looking at this alongside Robert Plutchik’s work, emotions aren’t fixed — they move, shift, and blend.
Anxiety might sit next to overwhelm… which sits next to comparison… which links to insecurity.

And from a Gestalt lens, like Joseph Zinker describes — these feelings aren’t problems to fix, but experiences to notice in the present moment.

✨ So instead of asking:
“What’s wrong with me?”

Try gently asking:
“What’s happening for me right now?”

Because there’s always a reason your mind and body go somewhere.

And understanding that…
is where change begins.

Low self-esteem does not always look obvious.
Sometimes it sounds like over-apologising, second-guessing yourself, shrinking your needs, or struggling to believe in your own worth.

These patterns often begin quietly and build over time — but they can also be worked on, gently and with support.

Therapy can help you understand where these beliefs came from and start building a kinder relationship with yourself. 💚

When anxiety shows up, it can feel overwhelming so quickly.
Sometimes a few simple reminders can help bring you back to the present.

✨ This feeling will pass
✨ You are not in danger
✨ Your body is trying to protect you

Save this for the days your mind feels overloaded 💚

Instead of asking “what if it goes wrong?”
try asking “what if I can handle it if it does?”

That small shift moves you from fear…
into self-trust.

You don’t need to control every outcome
to feel okay.

💚 Save this for when your mind starts spiralling

Sometimes anxiety is unintentionally reinforced by the things we do to try and feel safer.

Avoidance, reassurance seeking, and overthinking can keep the anxiety cycle going.

Understanding the cycle is the first step to breaking it.

💚 Save this post if anxiety makes things feel harder than they should.

Things I hear in therapy all the time…

"I should be coping better than this."

"My mind never switches off."

"I don't know why I feel like this."

"I feel silly talking about it."

So many people come to therapy thinking they're the only one who feels this way. You are not broken — you're human 💚

Save if this sounds familiar

I saw this and thought I need to buy it... not for my clients but for me, as a reminder- I get pushed by my own anxieties just as much as some of my clients and need things like this to nudge me and my mindset back to more balanced place.

What we focus on shapes how we feel 💭

So much anxiety, frustration, and overwhelm comes from trying to control the things that were never ours to carry in the first place.

You can’t control:
• Other people’s opinions
• The past
• How others react
• The future

But you can control:
• Your attitude
• Your choices
• Your words
• How you respond
• The way you care for yourself

Bring your energy and attention back to what’s within your control.
That’s where your power is. That’s where change begins.

Save this as a reminder for the days your mind feels busy and pulled in every direction 🤍

You don’t need a dramatic reason to reach out.
You don’t need to be “bad enough”.
You don’t need to wait until things fall apart.

Therapy can be a space to pause, reflect, and understand yourself more deeply — before burnout, anxiety, or overwhelm take over.

If something inside you is nudging for support, that’s reason enough 💚
