This picture has been shared recently by a few nail technicians to show the damage that can potentially occur as a result of going to "cheap and convenient" nail salons. Please understand that cheap is not always the best....

URGH and OUCH....this is what you are risking every time you go to a NSS SALON (NON STANDARD SALON ie:no insurance or proper training) ...yeah the ones who throw on nails in 30 mins, where you are passed down a line to another tech wearing a mask (using dental acrylic, which is toxic to breathe in and to use on people, banned in USA), where they file your natural nail within an inch of their life, to the point of burning pain, where it takes 2 hours + to 'attempt' remove them (they make dentures outta this stuff remember).... Now, do you think these guys pay insurance? Yeah right, its all about the production line and the ringing chimes of their cash register...so you take the risk of losing your nails completely, picking up a disease, Hepatitis or HIV...notice they dont clean inbetween clients, as that would mean spending money on sterilising equipment and time on client care.... no insurance means no recourse for the client...all to 'save' a few quid?. SCARY and very frustrating for us who have been trained to extend a high level of service, skill and client care and who deliver it with integrity and INSURANCE
NOTE: this is not aimed at any particular race as some posts have wrongly suggested, It has nothing to do with race. It's everything to do with professionalism and integrity regarding products and training.
Also proper and safe ventilation is crucial to both client and tech. Using the visual of rows of masked *techs* was to illustrate and indicate, your responsibility as the consumer to use that to then, further check, whether they are in fact are using the proper products, have qualified technicians and are in fact insured?
